i always compared love to fire.
a simple spark can start something great,
it's quite beautiful to look at,
and it's hard to burn out.
yet, with just a splash of something cold,
or by leaving it be for long enough,
the spark you had starting can
fade away in an instant.
the aftermath of the fire,
the smoke,
can be so toxic
to the person nearest to it.
the person who had hope that
one day the fire would spark up again.
