Chapter 52:

Jealousy is in your way...

“Hi, Jisoo. ” she smirked and Jisoo still has her eyes widened

Irene took something from her pocket and Jisoo was nervous

It was an injection...It seemed to have poison in it...

Jisoo pushed her and tried to escape to the door only to be pulled at the hair by Irene

“Ouch! Stop it!”

“Stop it? Never! I'll never forgive you, Goddamn Kim Jisoo!” Irene yelled at her and pushed her at the lamp table, making a loud 'thud'

Jisoo winced in pain, she was weak, she stumbled in the lamp table

“Jisoo?! What is happening there?!” thanks to the loud 'thud', her friends heard the sound

They knocked at her door and tried to open it but it was lock

“Jisoo, open the door! What is happening?!” it seems to be Chaeyong who yelled

Jisoo looked at Irene with her eyes frightened

“After all my plans! After all my sacrifices! After all my blackmails to you! You still never gave up! How is that, Kim Jisoo?!” Irene yelled and a tear left her eye

Jisoo's eyes softened,

'She didn't intend to'

'She doesn't want to hurt me'

'She doesn't want to kill you'

'It's not her fault'

Words kept reminding Jisoo that it wasn't Irene's fault

“I tried everything! I tried everything to make you give up! But why?! Why do you keep fighting?!” Irene yelled again and she sniffled

A tear left Jisoo's eye

“You know what? This is getting no where. I'll end this! I'll end this today! I'll end this now!” Irene said and was about to inject her

But the door opened

Irene was startled but she stopped

She stopped herself from injecting Jisoo

She smirked

“You're lucky, Jisoo. You have someone to protect you...” Irene said and turned around to looked at Jisoo's friends

“You b*tch...” Jennie whispered but it was clear for Irene

“Thank you for calling me that--”

Irene was cut off by Jisoo, Jisoo tried to snatch the injection from Irene's hands but she failed

Instead, Irene pulled Jisoo's hair and pointed the injection in Jisoo's neck

Chaeyong's eyes widened

“No! Irene, don't do it!”

Irene smirked...

More tears left Jisoo's eye

“Try stopping me. I don't care. ” Irene said and Jennie took all of her courage to step forward

But only to be yelled at Irene

“Took another step closer and I'll inject this to her!” Irene said and Jennie gulped

“Call the police or whatever. I'll inject this to her...” Irene said and Jin spoke

“Are you insane now?! ”

Irene chuckled, painfully

It was clear for Jisoo

Irene gulped and smiled

“Say goodbye...” she said

“Irene...please. Stop...” Jisoo said and Irene chuckled

“I have this one chance, Jisoo. Why would I waste it?” Irene asked, the injection still pointed at Jisoo's neck

“I know...I know you don't want to. I know you don't want to hurt me...” Jisoo said and Irene laughed

“You don't know how badly I wanted to hurt--”

“You don't. You don't want to. You just think you want to. ” Jisoo said, cutting Irene's words

“You don't know anything--”

“I do. I do know. How? Because I felt that too. I felt like I need to hurt people. By my...words...” Jisoo said and looked at her friends who are worried for her

A tear left Jisoo's eye

“I felt that. I see myself in you. Something destroyed me...and something is destroying you too...and you know what is? Jealousy...”

Irene was speechless

“Jealousy tried to destroy you. It destroyed me once too. Not was just involved. But many were...”

“You're losing yourself...It tried to break you into pieces. And in the end you don't know how to fix yourself...because fixing yourself means...fixing all of your mistakes...” Jisoo looked at her sister, SooJi, when she said those words, Jisoo remembered the times she was so harsh to her

Jisoo was sure that Irene was finally believing her. That Irene would change...

But...

Irene held the injection up high and was about to inject her...

Jisoo's friends eyes widened

But...

Irene dropped the injection, on purpose

Jisoo looked at her and Irene fell in her knees

Irene's hair covered her face...but Jisoo was sure that she was crying

Bangtan, Jennie and Chaeyong sighed in relief

They looked at Irene who is on the floor

Jisoo kneeled to Irene and hugged her

Chaeyong smiled and Jennie sighed

The others smiled too...

“I told you about Irene. I told you that she isn't like that. She's just...”

“She's what, huh? What, Jisoo?” Jennie asked, arms crossed, her eyebrow raised

“She's lonely...”

...

“Lonely? For god's sake! She has her so-called 'friends' ” Jennie said, emphasing the word 'friends'

“Do you think her friends...treat her as a friend?”

“Do You think that she is happy with her friends?”

“Are you even sure if they aren't fake around her?” Jisoo asked her questions which made Jennie silent

“But...” Jennie couldn't fight anymore

“Would you all do me a favor?” Jisoo asked and all of them turned her attention to her

“Don't report anything to the police. ”
