Chapter 4 – The Bar

Madeline being as astounded as she could be with everything that happened that night, began to walk back home. All the crowd was already leaving the theater, which for her was not good. All the people wanted to leave first so a few fights started in the middle. She knew how those concerts worked, once they were done, the band left for an after party and the crowd was left alone, drunk and already to party outside or look for another place to continue with the party.

Madeline made it to the end of the block and she was finally alone and far from the sweaty and drunk crowd. She continued walking back to her place with mixed thoughts surrounding her mind. She kept playing her conversation with the blonde guy she met a few hours ago.

How could he be so selfish and such a prick, all she could think was in how she was going to get her tape back. She could leave it for her own sake but what if he really turned in her tape with the police... her life would definitely be over, she would not be able to finish her thesis and that is the only thing she wanted.

She let out a long and deep sight and as she kept walking in the long streets of New York until she reached her block. The night was dark and the weather was not helping, it was freezing outside, she kind of missed the warm feeling of backstage. It was a crowded place and a lot of people made the place stay warm. Her home in the other hand, had never been this cold, she forgot to turn on the heat.

Madeline made herself coffee and grabbed the book that she picked in the library. She first changed into more comfortable clothes and then began to read the rest of the book. For her own sake she would concentrate and stop thinking about those blue eyes that haunted her existence.

...

The alarm must of have been broken because it did not ring or made any noise. Madeline was not used to turn on the alarm on her tick tock clock but that was the only thing that kept her awake for the making of her thesis.

She overslept that night and it was already eleven in the morning when she woke up. With a book on her hand, Madeline blinked a few times before freaking out.

"fuck fuck, it is already too late. I will not make it" Madeline said to herself, living alone was definitely something bad for her, she forgot to do plenty of things, other things that were not related to her thesis of course.

She quickly took a shower and picked the first thing she saw in her closet, for good she always had good taste in clothes and a great confidence to take out with her. All the girls smiled at her and told her that her choice of clothes was great and asked her where we bought her things.

She applied a little bit of makeup and headed outside without breakfast. She took a mental note to have breakfast after her meeting with a few of her thesis friends and were also finishing university. Her classmates were just like her, she would sometimes see them as her friends.

She approached park where they were supposed to meet and went straight to what seemed to be two girls, one with short blondie hair and the other with dark locks that reached her hips.

"Hey girls" Madeline said to the two concentrated girls chatting about some papers.

"Good Morning Madeline, how are you doing?" The beautiful chocolate skinned girl said with a big smile.

"I am alright, I guess many things happening, what about you guys?" Madeline said taking a sit next to the blondie girl with glasses.

"Well, big news I finished my thesis and now we have to celebrate" The blondie girl said with too much excitement noticeable in her voice and smile. Madeline smiled back to both of the girls
