Another class topic poem thing.
Can honesty honestly be bad? Write about someone, fact or fiction, who gets in trouble for being too truthful.
Jessica is a very honest person.
Yet every truth made her life worsen.
You see, she never told the good truth.
It was always as painful as pulling a tooth. She was honest everywhere, home or school.
She lived life by the Golden Rule.
She had no friends that she knew.
But she thought of that as life as she grew. She never considered the pain she dealt.
With honesty, all consequences seemed to just melt.
Or at least that's what she thought.
She would soon see the damage she brought. One day when Jessica was going to her car,
It was dark and she happened to step in tar.
Very confused as to what halted her feet,
She stared down at the concrete. The black substance began to seep.
Further through her shoes it would creep.
She could not get it off,
And she panicked when someone came to scoff.“Please, help me!”
She would plea.
“First suffer our pay back..”
In came a boy in all black.Jessica began to struggle and scream,
But no one helpful was nearby, it would seem.
“Hush and save your breath.”
“You'll just be punished to death.”The night beneath the ever watchful full moon,
Went silent when Jessica met her doom.
It was sickeningly silent.
The poor girl's death was oh so violent.Though she sounded nice,
She was actually as cold as ice.
She was known as being only honest,
And she was never liked, as promised. But Jessica was bad.
She told everyone's secret she knew they had.
She didn't like to keep secrets and lie,
But she didn't know it would cause her to die.So poor Jessica's honesty came to an end.
Sad that she never experienced a true friend.
Or any friend for that matter.
But even in death, the truth wouldn't shatter.Jessica didn't expect the vengeance,
But she kept the truthful guidance.
She didn't scream as much as she laughed loud and well.
“I'll see you all in Hell.”
