Small Note: This poem may not be the best or have any rhymes, but it was inspired by the fact that I found out that my 95 year old great grandmother passed away. And I was informed of this information three months after the funeral. Well, I presume there may have been one. But bad people had been stealing everything from her in her weak state. No one could help her because she lived on the other side of the country and anyone who cared for her were too poor to go help her. So with that information in mind, I hope you can feel the emotion I vented into this poem.
As we all know,
We don't live forever.
So we must shine,
And make sure we live life to its fullest. Those closest to us may die,
And we might get sad,
But we should be happy.
They left to go somewhere better.Though they aren't in our physical sight anymore,
There's the chance that they chose to stay.
They could've loved you more than you think.
Or they went off to set up a place to wait for you.I'm not talking about our lovers.
I'm talking about our family.
Parents and cousins.
Or maybe just friends like siblings. They'll wait for you.
Or at least someone will.
When you die,
Don't fly away and be free just yet.Go see your loved ones first.
Go say hi to them.
See who waited for you.
Take them somewhere with you.In death we are gifted.
Whether we want to be in Heaven,
Or if we want to become a God elsewhere.
We have an unlimited choice. We can't abuse this choice.
We must cherish it.
Use it wisely.
Ungratefulness isn't taken kindly. With great power comes great punishment.
You have all the time in the universe,
So really think it through.
If you do, you won't regret it.
