The man stopped his work to fully face the nervous teen.
"Something?" he asked, raising a curious brow.
Aiden shifted where he sat, "I guess you could call him an ex, but it was really complicated," he mumbled, twisting his fingers in his lap.
Blake was silent for a few seconds, no emotion showing on his face, "What's the big deal, it's part of the past and if it was complicated then there should be no problem as long as you avoid him if you see him, right"?
The smaller male nodded, "Yeah, I'm just scared of running into him is all."
"It's okay, just be careful for the next few weeks. It should be fine," Blake smiled, standing up between the boy's thighs.
Aiden hummed in agreement, wrapping his arms around the man's neck pulling him close.
"This just means I'll have to keep an even closer eye on you, little one," Blake smiled, his voice dropping slightly.
The two shared a deep kiss, Aiden pulling himself flush against the man.
Blake's lips moved down the boy's neck, leaving love bites just below the collar of the hoodie.
Soft moans escaping the teen occasionally, and they came out louder as Blake nibbled on the boy's sweet spot.
"You better quiet down baby boy or someone might hear you," the man chuckled, squeezing Aiden's thighs.
The boy went to apologize but was cut off by a loud rap at the door.
Both stopped what they were doing, Aiden hopped off the desk and rushed to one of the sofas grabbing a random book to make it look like he was reading, and Blake adjusted his clothes before going and unlocking the door.
Both male's hearts racing with fear.
Aiden couldn't see who it was at first, but Blake stepped aside and in walked an older woman.
Her peppered hair pulled back into a tight perfect bun, and her petite but tall frame clothed by black jeggings and white knitted sweater.
Her light brown eyes magnified by round glasses.
"Blake, who's the boy?" the woman asks, eyeing up the teen who was spread out on the couch, glancing up to her from the book in his hands.
"My assistant's son, he's been helping out since she's out of the country for business," Blake answers, returning to his seat.
The woman gives the boy one last glace, before taking sitting in one of the chairs in front of Blake.
"I came here to talk to you about the family dinner tonight," she says, the man before her visibly tensing.
Aiden's eyes snapping to the woman.
"I thought I already told you I have no interest in going mother," Blake sighed, wishing the boy on the couch would get up and leave the office.
"And I thought I told you that it was not an option. You're twenty-six for god's sake and you've yet to find yourself a fiance. You need to start looking to settle down Blake, the family business will need an heir, and seeing as your brothers are completely and utterly useless it's up to you to carry on the family name," his mother says, more like orders, leaving a sour feeling in both males in the room's stomachs.
Blake continues to argue with the woman ignoring Aiden who was curling into himself.
Thoughts twisting in his head, his ears filled with words like wife, marriage, and children coming from the two family members.
"I really don't care Blake, you are coming tonight and that is final. Not another word or you'll have to deal with your father," the woman seethed before standing and stomping out of the office.
The door slammed shut and only one of the two left let out a loud sigh.
"I'm sorry you had to hear that," Blake said, finally looking toward the teen.
"It's fine," Aiden mumbled, finally dropping the book on the floor.
"I'm still sorry, and I won't be able to spend tonight with you."
"It's really okay Blake, this dinner is very important from what your mother said. You have your future to think about," Aiden sighed, standing from the couch stretching his arms a bit, "I have a lot of homework anyway."
"Okay," Blake sighs, slouching back in his seat.
"I'll see you later," Aiden says, forcing a smile to his lips.
Blake doesn't say anything in return but instead busies himself with work.
When Aiden gets back home he heats up leftovers he found in the fridge.
Blake hadn't mentioned anything about the family dinner, or even if or when he would marry in the future.
The thoughts had never crossed the young teen's mind, all he thought about was how happy the two currently were and how nothing in the works could change that, to some point.
He had to worry about the dinner and that Peyton was lurking around town bound to be around any corner.
