SUMMARY: When Alijah is blamed for paranormal occurrences at the Lodge, she researches the history of the property, only to find the disturbing background of the Lodge.
INTRODUCTORY SCENE: Evening at the Lodge; Alijah and Emmabella are in the Administration Office, looking at a code Alijah found the following evening.
ALIJAH: "Any idea on what it could be?"
EMMABELLA: "A few ideas come to mind, but I can't just pin it on one."
They withdraw their attention from the code.
EMMABELLA: "Is it supposed to be written in some kind of foreign language?"
ALIJAH: "I can't think of any language containing an icon of some squiggly lines with two dots at the end of it."
EMMABELLA: "It's got to be Ancient. I might be able to decode it, although it'll take some time."
ALIJAH: "What do you think the maximum amount of time you'll need is?"
EMMABELLA: "Quite possibly the rest of the evening. If you come back between midday or tomorrow evening then there's a good chance of me having the code deciphered."
ALIJAH: "Once you get Detective Emma involved, then anything's possible."
Emmabella smiles.
EMMABELLA: "I wish I was a Detective."
ALIJAH: "I believe it's time to close up shop for the night."
EMMABELLA: "Should we leave the note here?"
ALIJAH: "I thought you were going to hold onto it for the night."
EMMABELLA: "True. I'll just have to make sure Ramona doesn't steal it away from me."
ALIJAH: "Goodnight Emmabella."
EMMABELLA: "Night Leigh."
They go their separate ways as the lights switch off. The scene switches to down in the Underground Lair; the Manual rumbles on the podium changes; the scene changes.
EXT. 1: The following morning; Ramona and Temple are up on the hill; since Ramona believes that people have been sneaking around the premises, she has a pair of binoculars on her person.
TEMPLE: "Would it be an inappropriate time to mention that it's six o'clock...in the morning?!"
RAMONA: "Ssh, you'll scare the trackers away."
TEMPLE: "Nobody's coming to get us, Mona."
RAMONA: "Keep saying that when someone jumps us, then you'll be sorry. You need to learn to be less sceptic about your surroundings."
Ramona looks through her binoculars again.
TEMPLE: "I have reasons to believe some of Emma's paranoia has rubbed off her and onto you."
RAMONA: "Here we go again; just because she's my roommate, it doesn't mean I'm becoming paranoid to an extent that it matches her level of paranoia."
TEMPLE: "Isn't being paranoid a part of Delusional Personality Disorder?"
Ramona moves the binoculars away from her eyes.
RAMONA: "Do I LOOK like a psychiatrist to you?"
TEMPLE: "I can't picture you as one and why'd you answer my question with another question?"
RAMONA: "It's called being sarcastic. Do I need to throw a dictionary in your direction?"
