Chapter 31: At Last

Time jump (three months)
ZENDAYA
"Zander pleaseee stop" I paced back and forth with him in my arms. Stopping for two seconds he looked up at me but started crying all over again.

"Zander please baby. I've changed you, fed you, burped you. Whats wrong??" I was ready to cry myself. It was 2am and I hadn't slept yet and Lebron would be calling my phone in 4 hours.

"Zander, baby come on. I'm defeated" I picked up his pacifier and placed it in his mouth only for him to push it out with his tongue.

Picking up my phone I went to Apple Music and hit shuffle. Ella Mai whatchamacallit came on and Zander only got louder. Hitting skip lil Wayne uproar came out and I bounced him in my arms to the beat. The volume of his cries lowered but he was still crying. Skipping to the next song mama hand by Queen Naija came on I took a deep breath and started singing with it.

"When I first laid, eyes on you

I lowered my voice as his cries stopped and his eyes started to slowly close. I kept singing until his eyes fully closed and laid him on his baby pillow next to me. Finally laying down I closed my eyes only for him to start crying again.

Finally breaking I let tears escape my eyes as I picked him up. Trying to play the song again it didn't work this time. Having a idea remembering how he would react to his dad voice while still in my stomach I started at the very first Chris song on my phone. The tears instantly stopped and he legs started kicking.

Laying down with him on my chest I left the music playing as I closed my eyes. Before I knew it my alarm was going off.

Groaning I laid Zander on his pillow then surrounded him by more pillows as I chugged downstairs. Pulling the door open since I knew he would be here already I looked up at Lebron

"You look like hell"

"Gee thanks bron"

"Cheer up this your last day of training with me. I honestly think you should talk to the school btw. You don't need a year, you're ready now"

"Idk about that, just give me 10 and I'll be down" I said walking up the stairs

Going back downstairs Lebron was already on the balance ball. I sat Zander down in his swing and stretched before grabbing another balance ball.

Picking up a medicine ball Lebron looked at me "ready??"
Nodding my head he threw me the ball "let's go throw it back" the second time he threw it harder and it knocked me off balance. Starting over the same thing kept happening "what's wrong today Zen"

"I'm sorry, ima get it"

"Nah, Nah talk to me" he sat on the floor.

"I sat down and soon as I opened my mouth Zander started crying " This! This is what's wrong" I'm not getting any sleep lately. He just won't stop" I slid the swing over to me and picked him up

Taking him from me Lebron bounced him "how old is he now??"

"He's actually 5 months day" I smiled "Aaron wants to take him to Disneyland but he's not even gonna remember this when he older"

"We took Zhuri when she was 5 months too. We took a bunch of pictures and put it in a scrapbook for her. She looks at it every day and adds more pictures every birthday"
