a/n sorry this took so long, the big ass writers block train hit me :/ but hopefully you enjoy this!

jack was always gone, but y/n always understood why.  he was finally kicking off the start of his career as a singer with 4 other boys. he'd be busy.

but that didn't mean that it hurt you any less. not being with him or having him hold you in his arms at night or kiss you in the morning. but this was something he had to do.

"babe i miss you," jacks voice cracked as he looked at y/n through his phone screen. while she was in y/ht/n he was in los angeles.

"i miss you too, but you're finally living your dreams! this was the moment we both have been waiting for," y/n said giving jack a small smile.

he didn't know how he ever ended up with y/n. she was always so supportive of his dreams and caring. he was lucky to have a girl like her by his side through this journey he knew he'd soon go on.

"i promise you, that one day this will pay off. i'll be around and keep you safe. but it's pretty crazy here," jack said looking at y/n frowning.

she shook her head, "jack i know. and it's okay take your time down there! don't rush for me. besides it's only going to get crazier when there are thousands of girls chasing you through the streets when you get to the top," y/n laughed at the end imagine him running.

"God i'm lucky to have you in my life," jack said staring at y/n with love.

"hush, if anything i'm the lucky one! anyway, you should get going! i don't want the next big thing to lose any sleep when he was a lot of things to do tomorrow," y/n said. "i love you, good night my darling." she added as she ended the facetime with jack.

jack laughed as he put his phone down. he wanted this to work out, he wanted all this to be worth it. he knew he'd be gone for a long time away from y/n. his entire world.

- 4 years later -

jack looked at at the crowd in y/ht/n. this was what him and y/n dreamed of. taking that chance 4 years ago was worth it. it did pay off in the end.

"thank you guys, you all are crazy!" zach said through the microphone earning many screams from the crowd.

this was the night that meant a lot to jack, it was a big night. he was going to propose to y/n and keep his promise to be there for her.

"the night is only beginning!" jonah screamed as the music for the next song began, fans screaming and singing along.

y/n was in the front row with christina the both of them admiring their boys living out their dreams. y/n's eyes were locked on jack.

the journey they went on together for the last four years was like any, it was it's rough points and it's good points. if anyone asked her, she'd say that it was rough not being able to be with jack all the time. but she couldn't be any happier for her boy.

"before we end the night, i wanted to ask for a really special person to the stage," jack said locking his eyes with y/n, "so y/n will you come up here and join us?"

y/n slowly nodded as she was guided by security to the stage. her heart began beating fast. she didn't like standing in front of thousands of people, so her nervous kicked in almost immediately.

as she was on stage she was greeted by jack with a kiss, making everyone in the crowd scream and cheer.

"well i wanted to start out with a huge thank you. y/n has been my biggest supporter for years now. she's been there four years ago telling me that i'd make it," jack started out looking at y/n, love in his eyes as he looked at her. "i do remember that i made a promise to her that when this works out i'll be there and i'll keep her safe."

y/n has tear streaming down her face. she was speechless. she loved jack so much, and she never thought he'd be saying those words.

"this is truly the right time to do it," jack said as he got down on knee pulling out the box and opening it up to reveal the ring he purchased only months ago for this day, "y/n y/l/n, i wanna make so many more memories with you, so will you make me the happiest person alive and marry me?"

y/n hand covered her mouth as she nodded her head yes. jack quickly slipped the ring onto her finger as he got up to kiss her again. the boys and christina ran up and hugged the both of them.

the rest of the night was magical as was the entire year. y/n was happy and so was jack.
