how zach and y/n met was through kay. of course zach being kay's boyfriend and y/n being her best friend she wanted the two to meet each other.

but y/n already knew of zach, he was in the hottest band. and if she were quite honest she had a crush on the boy before he ever started dating kay.

then kay and zach broke up. y/n remembered that day as if it were yesterday. because that was the same day kay decided to stop being friends with y/n. for what reason? y/n will never really know.

herron💛: let's do something tonight

y/n❤️: no good-morning? rude.

herron💛: good-morning, let's do something tonight

herron💛: was that better for you?

y/n❤️: yes it was. and what would we do?

herron💛: isn't it obvious? go to dinner then see IT

y/n and zach became closer with each passing day. she grew more and more feelings for the boy. yet, deep down, she wasn't sure if anything would happen. zach did date her ex best friend. they would seem like terrible people.

y/n❤️: okay i'm down! i'll see you at my house at 7?

herron💛: sounds like a plan

when zach met y/n he felt an instant connection between the both of them. but he brushed it off because he was with kay. it took him some months but when y/n never left his mind he knew it wasn't fair to string kay along anymore and so he broke up with her. kay blamed y/n for the break up.

"zach you busy tonight?" daniel asked as he walked into zach's room with a smile on his face.

"actually i am. me and y/n are hanging out tonight," zach said a smile plastered on his face of the thought. the boys had liked y/n, they thought of her as a little sister. she was always kind to the boys and supportive of them as a band.

"dude, when are you going to ask her out," daniel asked as he took a seat on zach's bed. he got that same question from all the boys daily.

"i don't know if she feels the same, plus i don't want her to get hate," zach replied scratching the back of his head, "cause you know i dated kay which was her best friend."

"listen zach, i know that the whole kay situation brought you down, her calling you a cheater and everything," daniel began putting his hand on zach's shoulder, "but honestly she's no longer important. what is important is you and y/n. it's evident that that girl makes you beyond happy. plus it's pretty obvious that she likes you too!"

it was true. when that situation happened he had y/n to keep his head up and happy. he was beyond thankful for the girl. if one thing good came out of that relationship it was y/n.

"you think so?" zach asked daniel, referring to his statement that y/n liked him back.

"oh i know so," daniel laughed giving his best friend a smile and earning one in return.

- hours later -

as the time passed by zach grew more and more nervous. was he completely sure he wanted to confess his feelings for y/n? no, but daniel convinced him to take the chance. so he was going to do it.

y/n dressed in a black skirt with a yellow stripped shirt. nice and casual. she grabbed her white vans and went to her living room to wait for zach. she didn't know why but she got nervous as it came closer to being seven. tonight was like any other night they hung out, so she didn't know why it felt different.

a knock took her out of her daze, "y/n i'm here," she heard through her front door. she quickly fixed her skirt as she unlocked and opened the door to reveal a smiling zach.

"hey zach," she said as she opened the door wider to let him in. he looked good. he always seemed to take her breathe away.

"you look good," zach complimented y/n as he gave her a hug. y/n blushed lightly as they pulled away from the embrace, "you ready to head out?"

y/n nodded her head as she and zach headed out. the car ride was silent but comfortable. she enjoyed this. she enjoyed being with him even if all they would ever be was just friends. she wouldn't trade him in the entire world.

"so i have a surprise for you after dinner," zach said as they pulled up to where they were going to eat. he looked at y/n with a smile, "i hope you like it."

as they ate dinner, y/n wondered on what he could surprise her with. on the other side of the table zach grew more and more anxious. he had planned on singing to her, with the other boys. this was this way of confessing his feelings to her.

daniel🦒: okay we're at the park

daniel🦒: text us when you're here! :)

"so this surprise, can you give me a hint?" y/n asked a smile on her face as she looked at zach.

"well then it would ruin it," zach replied with a laugh as she gave him a frown, "besides we are closing in seeing it." zach added as he turned to where the boys were currently waiting for him.

"so you're going to be blindfolded," zach said to y/n handling her a scarf to cover her eyes. she looked at him with slight doubt but tried the scarf around her head to cover her eyes.

"please don't let me run into anything zach," she said as zach ran to her side and helped her out of the car. she knew that he wouldn't let her run into anything but she wanted to be sure of it.

"i wouldn't let you run into anything," zach laughed as she grabbed her hand leading her through the park. it took about 5 minutes for zach to find his friends but once he did he gently let go of her hand and ran to where his friends waited for him, "okay you can take off the blindfold."

y/n gently took it off and the boys started play '8 Letters' and her heart immediately stopped. she wanted to cry. she did. but she didn't. her eyes were locked on zach's and his were locked on hers. zach was the main person singing to her, and the boys followed.

"y/n we've been friends for a while now, but i can't hide that i'm crazy for you," zach began as the song ended, "i want you to know that, and maybe we can be more then friends?"

zach stood nervously as y/n looked at him, "zach yes!" y/n said jumping in his arms. this was all they both wanted, "is this real?" y/n asked as the boys laughed nodding their head.

months after that day, y/n and zach told everyone that they were together. they had gotten so much support on their relationship, yet there were some people that didn't like it. but that didn't bother them. they were happy together. that was the real important part of it all.
