You and Daniel were the it couple, or that is what the fans classified you guys as. They saw the side of the relationship that was the good side. The public side. You didn't dare show them the side that was horrible, the one you wished didn't exist at all.

Behind closed doors, you and Daniel fought. You were at each other's throats. And if you were being honest, you hated it, and you wanted out of the relationship but, you just weren't sure how to.

When the fights got worse, it was harder to pretend you were happy to everyone. When you went out you had appeared worn out to everyone, but no one asked questions. After all they had respected you. But Daniel would be angry with you if someone had mentioned it to him on what might be going on with you. They had no idea they were causing more problems.

Then you told someone. Your mom. You trusted her to keep it to herself, because after all she was your mother. She had told you to leave the relationship, which was something you wanted to do. But you had gave your entire heart to a fool, and that fool was important in your life at a point.

But was it a coincidence when you got home, it was empty? There was no trace of Daniel left. Only the note that he had written you. That was the only thing he left behind.

You looked around. You were starting over. You both were. You needed this. The pain was hard to handle, but you knew you were going to get through this. You were going to move on and be happy again.

You didn't love Daniel any less after that night. No you still cared for him. You just hoped he felt the same with you.
