y/n quietly sighed as corbyn passed by with his friends by his side, all of them laughing. she was once best friends with corbyn, but that ended abundantly and she never really knew the reason why. corbyn just stop talking to her.
to say that she was upset would be a major understatement. she was heartbroken, devastated. at first she blamed herself for his distancing himself from her, but then she knew that she didn't do anything wrong she then she no longer blamed herself.
"y/n, you miss him, it's obvious," your friend, y/f/n said as they came up next to you, "why don't you just talk to him about the whole thing?"
you rolled your eyes at them, "y/f/n, he won't even talk to me, i've tried countless time to talk to him already."
y/n got sad over the whole thing all over again. you wished that it didn't have an affect over you, but at the end of the day it had a huge affect on your life.
"besides, maybe this whole, not being friends thing, is for the best," you sadly said as you closed you locker and heading out of school with y/f/n right behind you.
"best thing my ass, you're miserable!" y/f/n shouted making some people stare at the both of you guys. "i know i'm not your best friend and maybe i don't have a say but i care about you because at the end of the day we are still friends and i can't see my friends upset like this!"
corbyn wasn't trying to hurt y/n by not talking to her. he just wanted to figure things out. he was afraid. he fell in love with his best friend. he became afraid that she wouldn't feel the same, so he stop talking to her to see if those feeling would go away. but they never went away, they just grew stronger.
"corbyn, at some point you'll have to give y/n an explanation," jack, one of corbyns best friends said as corbyn drove past her house, "gabbie told me that she's miserable without you in her life."
"i don't know if she'll want to talk to me anymore," corbyn began as he pulled up in his driveway, "if i were her i wouldn't want to talk me either after just dropping them out of the blue."
y/n arrived home after running a few errands. she just want to sleep the rest of the day away. it was the weekend after all and she didn't want to be bothered anymore.
"oh honey, you're finally home," her mother said as she pulled her daughter in a hug, "is corbyn coming over tonight for the weekend movie?"
y/n heart hurt, her family still didn't know that her and corbyn weren't friends anymore. she didn't know how to tell them. they all adored corbyn, they saw him as a son. so telling them wasn't really an option for y/n.
"no, sorry mom," y/n said as she bought all the bags down on the kitchen table, "he got really busy and isn't able to make it."
her mom sighed, "well tell him that we miss him. we haven't seen him for a while."
y/n nodded her head and she left the kitchen with a heavy heart. she wanted to talk to him, but he wouldn't want to talk to her.
gabbie🤩: hey y/n, tate, kay and myself are having a girls night
gabbie🤩: we wanted to know if you wanted to come
y/n read the messages and sighed. she'd be hanging out with the girlfriends of corbyns best friends. but she did need to get out of the house. so she agreed. maybe it would take her mind off things even for just a while.
- later -
y/n smiled slightly as the girls laughed as they just talked about their boyfriends. she knew of them, but never talked to them.
"so y/n, do you like anyone?" tate asked y/n as she wiggled her eyebrows at her as y/n face grew red.
"there is this boy, but i honestly don't want to talk about it," y/n felt her heart sank. she was in love with corbyn yet no one knew about it. he wasn't even talking to her anymore so that caused her more pain.
"is it corbyn?" gabbie asked softly as y/n's eyes grew wide along with the other girls. she didn't know if gabbie knew or not. she was sure that she hadn't made anything obvious.
"uh, no," y/n scratched the back of her neck. she knew that gabbie wouldn't believe her.
"i think you do," gabbie started grabbing a hold onto y/n's hand, "y/n go talk to him!"
y/n shook her head, "no, he doesn't want anything to do with me." at that point y/n had tears coming out of her eyes.
"y/n i promised jack that i wouldn't say anything, but i know why corbyn stopped talking to you." with tear filled eyes y/n looked at gabbie.
"w-why?" y/n questioned as she wiped some of her tears from her face.
"he's in love with you, but was afraid that you wouldn't feel the same. so he decided to stop talking you."
all y/n heard from gabbie was that corbyn felt the same way she did. she quickly thanked gabbie and ran out to her car.
as y/n got to corbyns house, she began to feel nervous all over again. she sat at the drivers seat for more then 10 minutes debating with herself if she should knock on that door and what she would even say when she saw him.
y/n knocked on the door. she was going to confront and confess her feelings for corbyn. she just hoped gabbie was telling the truth when she said that corbyn was in love with her.
"oh hi y/n!" corbyns mom said pulling y/n into a huge hug, "i've missed you! corbyn said that you've been busy for a couple weeks now and that why you weren't coming over."
"i've missed you guys as well!" y/n said as corbyns mom let her go. "is corbyn home?"
"yes sweetie, he's in his room," she responded letting y/n in.
y/n walked up those stairs slowly. this would be the first time either of them talked to each other in a while. it was going to be awkward for y/n.
y/n opened corbyns to see him laying in bed doing absolutely nothing. "hey." y/n said making corbyn jump. he hadn't heard her voice in so long.
both of them stared at each other. both knew they needed this, yet didn't know how to say any of it.
"we need to talk," y/n stared closing the door to corbyns bedroom, "listen i now know why you distanced yourself."
corbyns heart began beating. she knew why. questions started to fill his mind. what if she only came her to tell him she didn't feel the same way.
"who told you?" corbyn questioned getting up from his bed, but not daring to look y/n in the eyes.
"right not that doesn't matter, what does matter is that i feel the same." y/n came closer to corbyn touching his shoulder, "corbyn i was heartbroken when you stop talking to me. but then i found out why."
at that point corbyn turned to face y/n.
"you feel the same, as in those feelings?" corbyn questioned as y/n nodded her head at him with a small smile.
"god, i'm sorry for distancing myself from you. i just didn't know what to do. i was afraid you wouldn't feel the same for me," corbyn breathed out giving y/n sad eyes.
"i forgive you corbyn." y/n said and with that she kissed him.
y/n thanked gabbie for telling her. if she didn't who would've known what she'd done.
corbyn and y/n were happy again, but no longer best friends, as girlfriend and boyfriend.
YIKES the ending is terrible, in my opinion. but did you like it? next is zach, then jonah. school starts soon, which is terrible. all the classes that i wanted i can't be in because there isn't enough people to be in those classes. but that's what i get for going to a small school :(
anyway i'll see you guys next update! maybe i'll be in school by then. have a good day you guys!
song recommendation: i miss the days by nf
