There Jungwoo sat, in front of Taeyong, as a young lady did his makeup. His nerves were wrecking him, and he kept mumbling things to his friend.
"Taeyong...what if this isn't right..."
He chuckled. "Jungwoo, have you even looked at you and Lucas? You're perfect for each other! Here, remember when you shot him? And what did he do the second he was able to see you again? Mhm."
Jungwoo exhaled as the woman finally finished up. Standing and making his way out into the hallway, he hugged Taeyong tightly, who then began trailing behind him. The doors were pushed open and the holy music played, revealing his lover at the end of the aisle, staring at him with adoration and love in his eyes.
He was dressed in a white suit while Lucas was dressed in the counter. Even as two grooms, the roles were set.
A large bouquet of flowers was the only thing Jungwoo could grip onto out of the anxiety. He walked down the aisle, his father soon joining him. "I knew he was a good kid from the start. You're making the best decision you could ever make right now, Jungwoo." He whispered, kissing his cheek briefly before leaving him to go up to the alter.
Jungwoo took both of Lucas' hands in his own, staring into his dark, beautiful eyes. As the minister said their vows, they could only say 'I love you' with their gaze.
And then, it finally came time for their 'I do's'.
"Do you, Wong Yukhei, take Kim Jungwoo to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." Lucas smiled at him.
"And do you, Kim Jungwoo, take Wong Yukhei to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
He hesitated. And he knew he made a mistake doing so. Lucas stared at him with hopeful eyes. Suddenly, Jungwoo's unconscious frown twisted into a smile as he muttered, "I do."
They slid rings on each other's fingers, brought down by Jungwoo 's little nephew.
The minister chuckled. "You may now kiss the groom."
Jungwoo practically lept into his new husband's arms, wrapping his own arms around his neck, not wanting to let go. They kissed passionately as applause filled the room.
Jungwoo's younger brother pulled them apart, hugging and congratulating them. Lucas smiled, holding Jungwoo's hand in the midst of the chaos. The entire party had moved to a smaller room, filled with tables and food.
The couple sat at the table on the slightly elevated area, their families not too far away. As everyone had finally settled in, Lucas' father stood up and tapped his glass. The room went silent.
"I'd like to make a toast to our grooms. I'm sure we all know what happened to my wife. Jungwoo was committed to his line of work, and although that line was questionable, his dedication was admirable. Yes, my son got hurt in the process, but he kept fighting for his love despite my spouse's cruel actions. When we thought all was well, Jungwoo was kidnapped by the serial kidnapper. Even then, they fought for each other. They've been through a lot. They've gone through thick and thin together. But now that all is calm, they can rest and be at peace as a family. I never thought I'd be able to support my son with another man, but Jungwoo just made that possible. I love the both of you. And Jungwoo, Yukhei...never stop fighting. Thank you."
Jungwoo was in tears. The applause in the room was deafening, but it was well-deserved. Lucas cradled his husband in his arms, wiping his eyes. As if Jungwoo hadn't cried enough, his own mother stood as well.
"I've known Jungwoo's work for a while. In fact, it was our fault as parents for allowing him to do such things. Sorry Yukhei,"
Lucas smiled and nodded to her, causing some laughter.
"I'm so proud of the both of you. I love you for loving each other. For not giving up. Jungwoo told us right away when he was in love with you, did you know that Yukhei? The second he felt something different, he came to us. He would never be ashamed of his love for you. I know you're the same. Jungwoo and Yukhei, fighting!"
Jungwoo looked up, craving a kiss from Lucas after all the kind words. Finally, he collected himself and stood.
"I love Xuxi. You all know that. When I started as an assassin, my only goal was to destroy him for whatever reason. I remember accidentally befriending Taeyong, who noticed I was getting closer to him, but for the wrong reason. He brought me to this weird party and probably rigged the drawings to get me to play that Seven Minutes In Heaven game with Xuxi. Being in there with him really made me realize that he wasn't that bad after all. I couldn't see how such a sweet and loving person could've done anything wrong to be hunted down by anyone. Then, and I don't know who did it, but someone had locked us in this janitor's closet at our college. It's where we shared our first kiss together. He makes my heart race in every possible way. Even after three years, after knowing you, laughing with you, being with you, crying with you, and hurting with you, you still make my heart race like you first did. I love you, Xuxi, now and forever."
They shared a quick kiss, loving the noise surrounding them.
For the next hour or so, they sat next to each other, eating and holding hands all the while. When the time came, they rushed down the stairs of the church and into the night together, stepping into the car scheduled to take them home.

Soon enough, finally at home, Lucas and Jungwoo had changed out of their wedding clothes and set them on their bed. They were cuddled up on the couch in complete silence, no TV or friends to disturb them. They enjoyed each other's company as spouses.
"Dear God, I love you so much."
"I love you more."
"Wanna bet?"
"How are we going to do this?"
Lucas smirked and forced himself on Jungwoo, connecting their lips roughly. No matter what either did, the love would remain in their actions. And so, they were left at peace with each other.
They were away from Doyoung.
They were away from Jaemin.
They were away from assassins.
From Lucas' mother.
From Youngchul.
From danger.
Isolated from anything that could ever possibly pull them apart.
"Wong Yukhei, I love you."
