❄️☕️Winter☕️❄️

"Mmm, this is so good," she hums, clutching at the small cup of warmth in her hands.

It was so rich and chocolately... Mmm...

"You want some more?" he asks, shifting behind her.

"Nope. Don't go anywhere," she commands, leaning back into his chest to prevent him from moving.

He laughs, and the sound rumbles through her back, causing her to grin. His arms reach around and circle her stomach, his chin coming to rest on her shoulder.

"The snow is that interesting?" he sighs, looking out to the blanket of white that covered the ground and rooftops.

"Yes," she retorts, setting down her empty mug and resting her hands on his. "Your hands are cold."

"Warm them up, then," he states, and she squeezes his hands against her stomach, leaning her head against the side of his.

"Think the power is back on yet?" he asks her softly. It took her a few moments to answer.

"Even if it was, I would want to stay right here," she says, looking out to the falling snowflakes that were landing a just beyond the sliding glass door they were protected by.

"It's not exactly the warmest," he reminds her, reaching out to touch the cold glass.

"Get a blanket then," she suggests, releasing his arms only long enough for him to reach and pull the duvet from their bed onto the floor. He curls around her, enshrouding her in warmth.

"This is a little better," he states, his face cool against her warm neck. His teeth grace over her skin before her decides that it's best not to test his luck in a moment like this. Maybe some other day, when he wasn't so perfectly content.

To cover his sudden change of thought, he kisses her neck lightly, humming against her skin.

"I really love you, you know?" she murmurs, her eyes fluttering closed as she inhaled slowly while his lips roamed her neck and shoulder. He pulls away and looks back out to the falling snowflakes.

"I love you too," he mumbles in return, turning to press a kiss to her temple. "Always have. Always will."

She sighs contently, laying back onto his shoulder while pulling the duvet around herself a little more.

"Good to know," she breathes, nuzzling into his skin. "Sleep is calling my name."

"Then sleep, my goddess," he commands, pulling her a little more tightly against his chest. She lets out a short laugh while clutching at the front of his shirt.

"In bed, Soul," she informs him. "I'm getting cold."

"Oh," he says, and he can't hide the disappointment in his voice. He was so comfortable like this...

"We can cuddle for warmth," she says as she pulls away and extends a hand to him. He takes it gratefully and stands, dusting off his sweatpants.

"As long as I'm big spoon," he says as he stretches out onto their bed.

"Of course," she returns, crawling over him to lay down. "You're closer to the window like that."

"What does that have anything to do with-"

"It's colder by the window."
