I woke up at around 8 am and tiredly walked to the cupboard in the kitchen. Jack was sitting at the dinner table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. "typical dad right?" I thought. "Good morning Hana." He said without looking up. "안녕히 주무셨어요" (good morning) I replied tiredly.
I opened up my cupboard and looked inside. It was bone dry. "ABEOJI!!!" I cried out. "What's wrong Hana?" He looked up from his paper and looked up at me. "MY FOOD IS ALL GONE!!" I opened the cupboard wider so he could see inside. Everything I had in that cupboard was gone.
Three big bags of Doritos, ten packs of Orion choco pies, twenty packs of Pepero, four big bags of Honey Butter chips, three packs of each kind (21) of Lotte's Ghana (chocolate), five bags of pumpkin Monaca, four bags of crab chips, twenty of Lotte's Happy Promise custard cakes, two bags of Goguma Kkang (sweet potato chips), two boxes of chapssal yakgwa (Korean sweet cakes), two bags of Shindangdong Tteokbokki chips (similar to hot Cheetos), and ten boxes of Lotte's Kancho biscuits.
"Hana that was all junk food...that you ate." Jack looked at me with disappointed eyes. I closed the cupboard slowly and walked passed him, pouting. I stopped by his side and gave my giant puppy eyes. He stared into what he knew was a trap "FINE. Go get ready we'll go get more." He sighed. "YES!! Thanks abeoji!" I ran to my room.
I grabbed my clothes and ran into the bathroom to take a shower. After the comforting hot shower, I changed into a light pink sweatshirt, black leggings, light pink hat with two silver rings on the brim, light pink socks and white tennis shoes. I brushed my teeth and hair, then ran to the doorway. "Come on! Come on! Let's go!" I bounced excitedly. "Coming...I'm going to be broke." Jack sighed once more.
We finally got to the grocery store. "Good morning Hana!" One of the store clerks chirped. "Morning noona!" I bounced as I walked. Jack got a cart as I happily skipped to the junk food section saying hello to the workers I knew because I come here "too much" as people say.
Jack came with the cart and stood next to me while I grabbed their whole stock of what I wanted and all their cases of Mountain Dew. I put them in the cart and smiled at my adopted father "We can go now!" He was teary-eyed as he payed for it.
We put the haul into our car and closed it. "Here. I'll get you something as my treat for getting me all of that." I smiled an innocent smile as I said that. We walked to this one store that wasn't too far from the grocery. I opened the door and took a deep breath. "You took me to an American doughnut shop?" Jack looked at me. "Hey! It's the best one in town! Now tell the nice man what you'd like." I stated with a evil smile. "One sprinkles please." My dad ordered. "And for you ma'am?" the man asked. I gave a fake cough "Two pumpkin spice cakes, five original glazed, three chocolate ice glazed with sprinkles, six chocolate iced with custard filling, seven glazed raspberry filled, three glazed lemon filled, two glazed chocolate cakes, and finally three powdered strawberry filled." The man looked scared as he looked at me, a small little girl wanting thirty one doughnuts.
He handed my dad a small bag for his doughnut and two big boxes for mine. I payed the nice man and walked out. "Hana, you have a serious problem." Jack facepalmed. "No I don't! Just look how skinny I am! If anything I should be eating more!" I huffed.
In the car, I started eating my doughnuts and dancing to the radio. We finally got home and I put my doughnuts on my bed, then got all of my food and organized it in the cupboard. I stole a few cans of Mountain Dew from the fridge and went to my room.
