Humming to one of the many Fall Out Boy songs she'd listened to that morning, Katy whisked her bowl of cake batter whilst she sashayed across the kitchen floor, wearing nothing but Noah's shirt - the same shirt he'd worn for their date last night.
That was partly why Katy had gotten up so early this morning. She wanted to show Noah just how much she appreciated him, and everything that he did for her. They'd been dating for so long now that Katy was certain she wouldn't know what to do without him, so she never wanted to have to go through that.
Glancing at the clock, she noted that it read 07:58 a.m. meaning that Noah would be through very shortly, he very rarely slept past eight, and - although Katy had given him a work out last night once they'd got home - he hadn't been overly tired.
Loading the last cake tin, Katy slid on her oven mitts, opened the oven door, and placed it gently into the oven before moving over to feel the temperature of the cinnamon cookies she'd prepared earlier.
Now cool, she decided she'd decorate them whilst the other cakes baked away in the oven. But first, she'd have to visit the bathroom to relieve herself.
What she hadn't realised was that Noah had been lingering in the doorway, admiring his girlfriend as she baked - his favourite hobby to catch her doing, with reading being the next best. He loved to watch Katy bake; she seemed to be in her element, smiling and humming to herself as she went - it made him happy, especially when she was in nothing but his shirt and underwear.
As soon as she left the room, Noah set about making some mischief.
Grabbing the pre-made bowl of icing, he dumped a spoonful in the middle of three cookies, then proceeded to spread it out with the back of a teaspoon he'd grabbed from out of the drawer next to him. He swiftly moved on to the little tube of red icing that he'd spotted on the counter, decorating the cookie's so they read exactly what he wanted them to.
Just as he finished, Katy made her way back into the kitchen, stopping to gawk at Noah's naked chest before greeting him with a loving kiss to his eager lips. She linked her arms around his neck as he leaned against the kitchen counter, his hands on her hips pulling her as close as he could. If he had it his way, he'd never let her go - ever.
Pulling away, Noah let out a small groan as his attraction towards his beautiful girlfriend only grew, creating a few problems for him, what with her lack of clothing.
"Good morning," He huskily whispered, placing a peck on her nose, affection shining from his eyes as he watched her lovingly, nuzzling into her neck. "You've been busy."
"Mmm," She sighed, satisfied as he placed a kiss to the nape of her neck. "I wanted to say thank you for last night."
"Love, I've told you so many times...Seeing you happy, that's praise enough. I just want you to get to enjoy the finer things in life. I'm only a student, so I can't take you on as many dates as I wish I could. I wish I could show you so much more - Lord knows you deserve it. I wish I could give you the world."
"You're so good to me," Katy replied, kissing Noah's awaiting lips once again -she'd never get enough of him, and he felt exactly the same. "But please...leave my cooking alone."
Noah let out a small chuckle as he skirted away from Katy so that he could grab his top from off the arm of the chair and slip it on, desperate to avoid her joking glare. He knew it would only be seconds before she noticed what he'd done.
With his shirt safely on, he ran back over to dip his finger into the bowl of icing, licking his fingers clean afterward. It was at that point that her eyes made contact with the cookies Noah had so sweetly decorated...
"Noah!!" And there it was. "You've ruined my cookies!"
"But it's okay," He practically screamed, as he sprinted to the other side of the room. "Because I love you!!"
Katy couldn't help but laugh as he attempted to hide from her.
What was she going to do with him?
