SAM'S P.O.V
I took my guitar and strummed it still by the corner of the stage, sitting on the edge of it. I stared at the distance, humming Amnesia by 5SOS. I love the sound of crowd's craziness because they're about to enter the stage in 30 minutes. I can hear their voices from here. It's amazing.
"Sam?" I looked over to my left and found Riley. "What are you doing here?"
"No, nothing. Just rehearse."
"Rehearse? You never done this before."
"I do some things out of your sight."
"Yeah? Why?" Riley joined me by sitting on my left.
"Because you're not 24 hours with me, maybe."
"Are you kidding me? We're together for 24 hours for almost 2 weeks now."
"Not exactly together." I raised an eyebrow.
"Well I can't take it because for me, we are."
"Can we stop?" I sighed.
"Am...I...hurting you?" He was shocked with my reaction.
"No, I just want to stop."
I was about to leave him alone on the stage, so I stood up and walked slowly, until he stopped me.
"Babe, where are you going?"
"To the green room. You join me?"
"I prefer staying here." He gave me that sad look.
"Is there something wrong?" I walked closer again to him but still standing.
"Yes. Everything. You didn't get the signal!"
I was stuttered by that. "What signal?"
"Mine! My signal?"
I was already frozen standing before him. Riley walked toward me so we practically stood among this cables and instruments. And just to speed up the adrenaline, the show will be start in 15 minutes now. I can hear the guards outside have asked the crowd to stand before the main door because it's about to be opened.
"You're not serious, Riley. What signal. I don't know what you're talking about." I bowed my head.
"Oh yes you are but you deny it."
"Denying what? Talk clearly to me!" I half yelled.
"I like you! Alright?" Riley stepped aback. "I like you. And I asked Thomas to speak to you because you keep on denying me."
"I...I...am...not denying you..."
"You are. If only you knew..."
Riley stood before me, really close, then slowly walked to the green room. He made me frozen again. And so on time, because a second later, the first girl in the crowd entered the hall. I ran really fast to the back part of the stage.
Okay. I need to shake it off. It's my turn. I took all the stuff, guitar and the pick, microphone, and stood behind the curtain, waiting for my name to be called.
"Are you ready for the show? Here we go Sam Georgette!!!"
The crew opened up the curtain for me so that's it, I greeted the crowd. We were having fun. I sang some pop/rock songs for tonight. I have no idea, I just felt like doing it. I also made some changes. I spared 15 minutes to do a private QA session because there were some fans asking it for me through Twitter.
"Sam!!!" This one girl took my attention. She stood 3 lines from the front.
"Yes, you sweety, the one who's wearing blue!" I pointed at her and waited for her question.
"Hi Sam! Uh...I'm Amanda! Oh gosh I'm a big fan of you, thank you so much for choosing me!" she said in one breath, which made me chuckle.
"No problem, beautiful. I got you."
"Aww thank you! So...about the question, I wanna know, who do you like out of the boys?!" She half shouted because the crowd was really huge.
Jeez.
"Uh...actually, I can't tell you. Like I mean how can I tell you. They're all the same for me, such lovely guys, even better friends. We all get along really well especially on tour. It's good to join your best friends' tour."
Well done, Sam. You're just making it awkward.
"Sam!" Another girl from different part of the crowd raised her hands. "But why do you have special duet session with Riley?"
Can you guys stop it... Uh...
"About that, it's because the management asked us to do so. Probably because Riley's the lead singer of the band. And he wants to have that session where he can just play guitar, before the real show later. Thank you sweety!"
I bowed my head for a while. I need fresh air. This is all wrong decision.
"Sam, if you ever wanted to date one of the boys, who would it be?" Another girl from the very last line in the back of the crowd spoke to me.
"What?" I suddenly choked.
"Yeah right, we want to know Sam!" The other started to shout too.
"Uh...well...it's the hardest, how can I choose between my best friends..."
I laughed really awkwardly, tried to solve the question by that clumsy motion. Guess what, they didn't buy it.
"Uh...uhm...okay...so if I ever needed to choose...I would...be...probably.............Riley..." I murmured.
"Aww! Why?" The crowd insisted.
"Jeez you guys are just being so curious!" I laughed. "Because he's at my age. And of course, as you all know, he has a great personality."
Let me sign myself to be a president. How diplomatic.
"Alright guys! That's it for now. That was really fun yet a tough interview! Phew!" I acted like I was really tired because of answering their questions and the crowd's laughing at me. Wonderful. "So, let me introduce you the only Riley McDonough!"
Then Riley hit the stage which of course caused a local earthquake for a while. It's hard for us to calm them but it's fun actually. We did some couple of songs acoustically until some last minutes before the band own the stage.
"So guys I want to give you some options of songs. Choose the best one for us to play." Riley looked at me. I raised an eyebrow but he didn't bother.
"Yeah, sure..." I pretended to look okay with the choice. It's not on the script though.
"First up, Lucky by Jason Mraz. Second, Everything Has Changed by Taylor and Ed. Which one do you like more?"
Whoa. The crowd tried ot decide by yelling louder than the other, but it turns out as a chaotic one. Riley smirked so wide, looking at me from the corner of his eyes. Heck, you tell me. It's not the best song options, remembering the condition we got here.
