SAM'S P.O.V
Today's gonna be my first day to sleepover at the tour bus. Because we're going on tour soon! I don't know what to expect, but Mom and Dad have known about this plan and they're so happy for me. So in this very busy morning, I tried to pack everything up into some cases.
"Honey, you got your vitamins ready?" Mom helped me to pack so she ran here and there to the entire house, meanwhile I cleaned up the messiness in my room.
"Not yet Mom. Gonna take it. It's downstairs."
"Oh I got it."
"Thanks." I glanced at her and smiled.
"You're welcome sweety." She came back with two blocks of vitamin and put it in my bag. "Anything else?"
"I guess not. It's all in there. Uh..." I tried to think.
"Shoes?" Mom pointed to my dresser.
"Oh right. Some other shoes."
"Are you gonna wear high heels everyday? I don't think that'd be safe enough, Sam."
"No no, I'm not planning to do so. Snickers and Converse would be just fine."
"Good. There you go." Mom helped me again by packing them on another bag. "But just in case, bring this one."
She showed me a pair of heels. Heck no. "Mom, you can't be serious."
"It's your first tour, honey. Let's expect everything like the farewell party or something."
"Even if there was party, I wouldn't wear it." I shook my head. I know, I'm this girl with long curly brown hair and pale skin but heels would never work on me.
"Just bring it. You got some dresses, right? Just match up with this one!" Mom argued.
"Mom..."
"Sam, only one. Promise you. Only one, alright?"
"Uh...okay." I sighed and rolled my eyes. Mom's always right and I wasn't planning on arguing with her.
"So that's it! You're ready to go." Mom went to her house to call Dad, so he can help me with the cases. Actually it's just one case and a small bag, but Mom insisted Dad to bring it downstairs for me.
"When will they pick you up, baby?" Dad kissed me good morning.
"Around 10? I don't know, let's see."
I looked at the watch. It's already 9.45, surprisingly. They supposed to be here in any minutes. So I used my time eating breakfast and watching, until a phone call shocked me. Riley.
"Hey Ri."
"Hey Sam, you're ready to rock?" He chuckled.
"Haha... Yeah, sort of. Where are you guys?"
"Going to your way."
"Oh rigt, I'm ready."
"Sure. Meet you in 10!"
"Bye Ri." I smiled hanging up the phone. I hope this would be fun.
I put the dish in the washing dishes, and soon slipped on my Converse. I don' know what to expect at this point. Well, first, it's weird. It's Riley who kept calling me, instead of Tom. And second, there's this nervous feeling inside me whenever I think of the tour. I wasn't ready about the crowd's reaction. I can't even categorized myself as an artist. There are lot more artists that they could ask to join the tour.
"Hey Sam, they're here!" Dad called me. I was upstairs in my room to check the stuff.
"Alright!"
I ran as fast as I can to the living room but for one reason or two, I slipped off. That's kinda my thing and usually my parents already get used to it. But then I perfectly landed on a guy. Let's look up. Oh, man.
"I'm...sorry." I stood up as fast as possible and helped him to stand too.
"Be careful, Sam. A lot less slipping, maybe?" Dad and Mom giggled. Unbelievable.
"Yeah sure." I narrowed my eyes. "So, I guess I gotta go." I hugged them both.
"Call us." Mom nodded.
"Alright Mom."
We walked to the bus. It's a giant one, I've never seen the bus like this. Riley got the bag, and Connor helped me with the suitcase.
"Sorry about that." I murmured. Riley held his knee, it must be hurt.
"Nah, I'm fine. You're good?"
"Hmm." I nodded.
"Sam, welcome to the cribs! This is where we've been living like 300 days in a year. Your bunk would be nearby Thomas, right here. It's the crew bunks, and it's mine, Riley, Toby. It used to be Ryan's but we exchanged it with you. We want you to have the easy access to your own bunk." Being a host, Connor introduced me about everything.
"This is perfect, thanks Con, thanks guys." I put my bag in my bunk. It's flat like a box but pretty cool that I'm gonna spend the whole season living in it.
"Thomas, you got a company. Be good." Toby warned him.
"Ouch, don't worry. Sam and I would be pals." Thomas fistbumped me which made everybody chuckle.
"Alright Lonnie, we're good to go!"
Riley gave a command and soon, I felt like the bus' moving. I took one last look to the window and waved my parents goodbye. It's hard not to seeing them for months, but I have to.
"First tour is always the hard, right?" Riley came over to my bunk. I let the curtain open, I was randomly strumming my guitar while lying down.
"Hey," I sit properly. "Indeed, it is."
"You'll get used to it. Ours was the hardest too."
"Yeah, I miss them already. Haha." I raised an eyebrow.
"I'll be here if you need anything." He smiled the wonderful smile and showed me that dimples. Like in the name of banana, I need to stop.
"Thanks. That's good to know. Oh and, really, sorry about the bumping thing this morning." I bowed my head.
"Really Sam, that's fine. But I guess you bumping a lot, yeah?"
"Oh Lord." I rolled my eyes. "Kind of."
"Then I'll make sure I'll catch you properly next time." Riley winked and left me. Bam.
