Yukana Akiyama is a 16 year old who lives in Kanto, Japan. One day, she discovers a notebook with the power to resurrect the dead. Yukana becomes involved with Light Yagami and the Death Note as the Kira of Life.

L, the great detective tries to find the three Kiras around Tokyo. He believes Kira's the one that killed the criminals and then another had revived the victims. He's now working full time on the case, while Light and Yukana finally graduate high school and now are in college. Both passed the end of year exams. Light studies to become a detective while Yukana studies to become an author. L, who still suspects a student, goes undercover in college to see if Kira could be there. So he disguises himself as Ryuga Heita. He easily passes the exams.

She walks to college. Light finds her and walks with her. She still hates Misa. Yukana could flirt with Light, but she's too shy. She walked inside and went to her language arts class. Light went to a different class.
Yukana's POV
What we are doing in class is writing our thoughts on what we like. Since I love nature, I wrote my thoughts on nature. Once we were done, I turned it in and my homework was to publish a story about mother nature. I decided that since I'm classified as mother nature, I'll write about how I love to go on nature walks and my obsession with animals. I walked out of the class when it was over. Well not really, because school sports are still in session. I had decided to go home when I heard someone call me from behind, "Hey Yukana, wanna play tennis with Ryuga and I?" said Light. "Sure," I replied with a smile (all the while Light and Ryuga eye each other with mistrust). "In that case, count me in!" someone behind us said. We turned around. It was Misa. "Alright, but I need to change, I can't play in this outfit." I said laughing. I then went to the girls locker room and changed into my tennis outfit(tank top and athletic shorts). I wore my hair in a pony tail. I put on tennis shoes and grabbed my racket and I ran all the way to the tennis courts.
"Alright! Let's pick teams!!" Misa said. Light and I groaned. " I'm in Light's team!" she said, holding on to Light's arm. "Sorry Misa, but I'm going to team up with Yukana." he said. She glared at me and then she paired with Ryuga. "Just a second, Light, may we talk for a second?" I asked him. He nodded and came with me. "What is it?"he asked. " Listen Light, we're gonna have to pretend we are dating if you don't want Misa to go crazy on you." I said. He thought about it and then agreed.
Light's POV
Yukana and I went back to the tennis court where Misa and Ryuga are. I love the plan Yukana thought of. I don't like Misa, but I like Yukana, a lot. Yukana and I are on one side while Misa and Ryuga are on the other side. Misa and Yukana were near the net and Ryuga and I are behind. I was first to serve, so I threw the ball up and hit it hard.
Time skip.
Yukana and I won! We both hugged each other happily. Misa pouted while looking at us. Ryuga didn't really care. Yukana looked at Misa and glared at her. She then pulled me down and crashed her lips on mine. I knew what she was doing and I like it. She was only kissing me to push Misa away. We pulled away and she held my arm while we looked at Misa who was shocked. She ran away, crying. We both laughed.
