The Girl With the Life Note (Death Note Fanfic)

Chapter 18

Yukana came back from the beach and went to her room. She took a quick shower and changed to a tank top and shorts. She then got out her books she wrote and decided to use those as her writing report for her college. This way she can become a successful author. 

Bing! her phone beeped. It was a text from Light, with the names of people who had been killed by a shark that morning. Yukana quickly wrote down the names in her Life Note. 

Hikari appeared in her room, then Ai, and they both watched her as she was writing in her journal. " Yukana, when are you going to confess to Light??" Ai asks dramatically to Yukana. She was blushing bright red. "Uh I don't know, Ai, I need time" I said. Ai pouted and then sat on my bed. "Well, you're better for him than that Misa Amane." she said.  She may be a Kira, but she's so obsessed with Light. Yukana finds it very wrong.  Yukana decided to make lunch since she and Seikatsu were the only ones home, her parents were at work. She went downstairs and cooked some ramen. 

Yukana's POV

"Seikatsu! Lunch is ready!" I called out. " Coming Ane-chan!"she said. She walked downstairs and sat down with me. The ramen was served and we ate. Afterwards, we decided to go to the mall. Seikatsu wanted to paint her nails, so we went to one store to buy nail polish. And then I bought some clothes and makeup. Although I don't wear makeup that much, I bought it anyway for some reason. Maybe that has changed too. Whatever; I should just accept the New World and forget about the old.

We went home and put our shopping bags in the living room. I then picked up the nail polish and did Seikatsu's nails.  "Ane-chan, can you wear makeup tomorrow, I wanna see you with makeup." she suddenly says. I don't know if I really should put on makeup. "Come on, you know you wanna impress Light-kun..." she said smirking. "Shut up!" I said while blushing.  She laughed so hard. I got the fan and turned it on and told Seikastu to come closer to the fan so her  nails can dry. I walked upstairs and got my phone. I needed to talk to Light. I found his contact and called him.

Light: Yukana, what's up?

Yukana: Light, I just want to make it clear that I won't do anything that threatens the timeline anymore.

Light: I totally agree. You'll only revive people that died recently, right?

Yukana: Yeah.

Light: So let's focus on killing criminals and reviving people they just killed.

Yukana: Right, we need to make a world with less bad people and more good.

Light's POV

It's true. I do feel bad for Yukana; she must feel so guilty. But we need to focus on cleaning the Earth of criminals. And once I become god of the better world, I'll make Yukana my goddess. Once we have killed every criminal living in this world, Misa will be the last person I will kill. The plan is going very well.
