Prompts: I'm pregnant/ "What's this?" "Everything you like to have for when, you know... It's, your time..."
The past few months had been horrible at work. You'd been run off your feet none stop what with spring weddings and the summer weddings were about to kick in (even busier than spring) and to top off your already stressful time you had just found out you were pregnant.
Being pregnant wasn't the stressful part (well, no more than being pregnant) it was the fact you had no one to help with work and you hadn't even told your husband yet since he was off filming another film or doing, something of the sorts. You couldn't keep up with where he was and doing what. It's sounds selfish but being the wife of Tom Hiddleston is a hard job. Right now, what he was filming was the last thing on your mind.
You gasped when you walked into your bedroom. Tom sat on the bed smiling at you with a big white plastic bag. "Hello, love."
"Hello." you smiled as you let him pull you into a hug then a loving kiss. "When did you get back?"
"About an hour ago. Well, after I'd done some shopping." he grinned as he nodded to the bag on the bed.
Your raised your eyebrow as you sat down to have a look. "What's this?" you asked as you pulled out a large airport chocolate bar (your favourite kind), a crossword book, a small hot water bottle and some tampons and various sizes of pads.
Tom blushed a little as he cleared his throat. "Everything you like to have for when, you know... It's, your time..." he gestured to his stomach pulling a slight face.
You looked back into the bag as you tried to stifle your laugh. "Well, thank you, but... Why?"
He sighed taking a seat next to you. "The last time we spoke on face time you looked, run down and were a bit short with me. You're only like that when, you know-" he guestered with his hand again. "So, when I got off the plane today I grabbed the chocolate for you then stopped off at the shop to get, that, stuff... Sorry if I got too much or, not what you need... I had no idea you ladies had so much to do and the prices, don't get me started on them. I had no idea that's-"
"I'm pregnant." you smiled, cutting Tom off his 'girl power' speech.
He stared at you for a moment without saying a word. You let him be knowing he needed time to register what you'd just said but after nearly five minutes of silence you rolled your eyes at him.
" Tom?" you sighed.
He nodded clearing his throat. "Sorry. Just, wow."
"A good wow?" you raised your eyebrow slightly.
He nodded slowly. "A very good, wow. The best kind of wow, possible. Is it for you?" he asked frowning at you.
You nodded grinning. "The best kind of wow." you agreed. Tom wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest as he kissed the top of your head. "I'm sorry. I would have picked a better time to tell you but, you were getting lost in your talk and, I felt guilty because you were obviously worrying about." you bit your lip a little.
Tom shook his head. "No, don't apologise- wait you were, stressed out though? About being pregnant? You should have told me sooner if you-"
"No, no-" you kissed his cheek. "No, I was stressing because of work. I have no help over the summer and I'm worrying about after the baby comes. What do I do? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking for forward to being pregnant, properly but there's only so much I'll be able to do." you sighed.
Tom nodded as he thought about what you said. "How stressful is your job? All you do is take photos." you glared at him silently was he serious? Tom quickly began shaking his head as his eyes widened. "No, no, I didn't mean it like that. I just meant... Can't you, I don't know, change what you take photos of?" he sighed. "Sorry." he pulled a face as he blushed a little making your heart melt.
You rolled your eyes smiling and at him. "It's a good job I love you, Mr Hiddleston."
Tom grinned as he wrapped his arms around you. "It is, isn't it Mrs Hiddleston." he leaned down and pressed a warm, loving kiss to yours lips. "We're having a baby."
