It was hard having to share your fiance with the world but you knew what your life would entail when you said yes to marrying Tom Hiddleston. He was an amazing actor and he loved his job so much, you'd never think of asking him him to do something else just so you could see him a couple more days. Although, it would be nice what with the wedding planning going pretty slow but that was a minor issue.
You sat in your desk chair, your left leg tucked under you and your right one bent as you worked. It was a lazy Saturday night in for you, writing a little of your next book whilst drinking a glass (or bottle) of wine in nothing but one of Tom's shirts after a long relaxing bubble bath. He was due home any time, now that filming had concluded and there was a break in between that and promoting the new film. It had been a rather large gap in between seeing him last and now. You had just published your last book so you were off promoting that whilst he was off filming. Of course the pair of you texted and called each other every day but due to work you'd not really gotten any wedding planning done since Tom proposed over a year ago.
You stopped writing as your eyes fell to your engagement ring. You'd never forget that night when he asked you.
You and Tom held hands as you ran down the street getting drenched in the rain. You were meant to be going to a premier of a friends movie but your car had gotten stuck in good old New York traffic. Tom had the bright idea of getting out and walking the rest of the way and it was a perfectly good answer, until it began raining. The two of you ran hoping to find shelter somewhere but you were on street that was residential.
Tom sighed coming to a stop, pulling you back into him. "Tom, we're getting wet, let's go!" you giggled as you stepped back a little.
He shook his head grinning. "My dear, I wouldn't mind standing in the rain every day for the rest of life, as long as it was with you by my side..." he stepped forwards wrapping his arms around your waist.
"What are you talking about?" you bit your lip.
He gently placed his hand on your cheek as he looked down at you. "Marry me?" he whispered.
Tom walked into your study quietly, watching you admire your engagement ring. Hundreds of times he had caught you just staring at it. He loved watching you, especially when you didn't know he was. You never looked more pure than when you were wearing one of his shirts, your hair still wet from a shower or bath, no makeup and a loving smile.
"I know you're there." you smiled even more, your eyes not leaving your ring.
Tom chuckled as he moved in one swift motion and wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in your neck. You began laughing loudly as you squirmed under him, his mouth laying kisses along your bare neck and shoulder. He slid his arms under your legs and around your waist, scooping you up from the chair only to sit in it himself and place you on his lap. He rubbed his face against your neck smirking as he did. "Hmm... I've missed you, baby." he whispered as he kissed up your throat.
You bit your lip moaning as your eyes fell closed. "I've missed you too." you sighed, a content smile on your face. Tom eyed you for a moment confusing you. "What's wrong?" you asked brushing his hand through his hair.
"Is that my shirt?"
You nodded. "You know it is, why?"
He sighed as he bent forwards and took a smell of it. "It, doesn't smell like me..."
