Albus and his friends all sat grinning at each other as the train took them home. They were still elated from the previous evening's events.
"You two will be at each other's throats next year," Emma chortled.
"Seekers, what rotten luck Emmy," Albus grinned.
"I can't wait for our first match against each other!" Scorpius smirked at Rose.
"Nor can I because I'm gonna win!" Rose sang gleefully.
Scorpius stormed up a protest as they both started to shout each other down, Albus smiled at his reflection in the window. "Like looking at a mini-Harry," his uncle Ron had once said but Albus knew he was completely different.
Angel came in and out, now that Scorpius had given him the cold shoulder too he felt unwanted. Albus observed Rose's behaviour and was annoyed that she still liked him.
The journey was soon at an end, as the train pulled into the station of King's Cross Albus felt a peculiar feeling of relief and sadness. He and his friends got ready to leave the train and see their families. All their families stood together; Mr Weasley warily eyeing Mr Malfoy. The women however were keenly looking for their children. Albus' dad was speaking to an elderly lady who turned out to be Emma's Great Aunt Mary. The children rushed off the train into their parents and guardians arms. Albus looked into the face of his mother and saw she was crying tears of guilt.
