Say Goodbye to BLI Sunshine! (mcr/killjoy fanfic-Book I)

Chapter 1: Battery City

" Hi i'm Autumn hill, The date is September thrid 2019.." I wake up to the beeping of my alarm clock, its time to start another day. I hit my alarm clock and get up, first thing is done. I go into the bathroom and take my shower as i do every morning while taking a shower i notice my nail polish seems to have chipped. I cant look like this for my first day of school. Once i get out I dry off and walk over to my closet which has a few white tees, a hoodie, a dress, some jeans, and a sea foam sweater. I pick out the dress and slip it on over my undergarments. I remember my chipped nails and go over to my dresser opening up the top drawer. The drawer is filled with a few makeup supplies. I pick up a container of nail polish that I've never used it reads "desert sand", I look through the dresser but cant seem to find any other colors, i usually wear white or sea foam. I decide that I'm wasting time and remove the old polish from my nails applying the color and a coating of clear polish so it wont wear off any time soon. By the time i go downstairs i've almost missed breakfast so i quickly eat and then meet my step brother at the door were he's waiting.

Were halfway to school when i realize i forgot to take my pill. Everyone takes the pill it makes everyone happy and keeps everything here in battery city perfect, if you don't take the pill it means your rebelling against BLI which is our government and the people who rebel are known as killjoys. I don't know much about killjoys other then their bad people who live outside in the zones. Sometimes i wonder why they wouldn't want to take the pill and live in battery city everything is so perfect here! We've made it to school and i'm starting to worry but i make sure to keep smiling and try to blend in. Me and Marshall have all our classes together and our lockers are right next to each other. We stop at our locker to get a few books before hurrying to our first class, i hope i can make it through the day without the pill.
