''I don't give a shit about Kavinsky. I mean I really want to punch him because he let you go but at the same time hug him because he let you go, how fucking stupid-''
''Wow- This is so not the reaction I was expecting.''

''No Alec, wait.'' The last thing leaving her, were Alec's soft lips, as she pushed the boy away by pressing her hands against his muscular chest. ''I-I can't..I can't do this.'' Her voice sounded muffled behind her hands, now covering her face.
''What? Did I do something wrong?'' His own hands were still stretched out as if they were around her body.
She smiled. He was so adorable she just wanted to kiss him, kiss her confusion away.
''No, you did everything right.'' She took a deep breath. ''It's complicated- I...''
''What is?'' He took forward the steps she had taken away from him. ''You know you can trust me right?''
''Of course I know it's just I am scared you won't understand and I'll lose you too..''
''Too?'' He questioned, but before Rita could be able to answer he spoke again. ''Oh God. I know.'' He raised his voice, sending electric shivers up her spine.
''You do?'' Her left eyebrow raised to the sky.
''It's Peter isn't it?'' Alec tilted his head. His eyes stopped twinkling as the corners of his mouth turned to the floor. ''I knew it.'' He said shaking his head. ''I fucking knew it.''
''What?'' She asked now confused for another reason.
''He kept telling me you were off boundaries but of course I always thought he was playing around- I.''
''He did what?''
''He likes you!'' He turned to Rita at last, his eyes staring intensely at her, watching every move, every expression, like he tried to read her mind.
If he did he'd just hear an infinite buzzing sound paired to loud throbs sounding like hammers hitting against her skull.
''Alec-''
''And you like him!'' His voice was shaking as much as Rita's now, he was breaking in front of her and it ached, it ached more breaking someone else's heart than having a broken heart herself.
