''You need to let go of my jacket Covey.'' Isaac laughed as he tried desperately to get Lj's hands away from his collar. Her face showed true and real fear.
''Absolutely not! I will most certainly fall to my death.'' She whined and wrapped herself to her boyfriend like a koala.
Rita laughed to her boots which were attracted to the skies, she was tying them tighter. She had been at it for the past couple minutes - her fingers were numb from the extreme cold and so, weren't working properly. Peter was waiting for her. He hadn't left her side since the bus and she was thankful he didn't.
Alec disappeared into the Uber the boys had called, and was still probably at Gabe's since he hadn't showed up anywhere. She didn't want to give him the pleasure of knowing she had been asking around for him either.
''Ready?'' He asked from her left.
''Hm, hm'' She nodded rearranging her white beanie, pulling it further down so it could cover hear ears. Peter offered her his hands and she accepts his help. She stands up in a quick jump. ''Ready for me to kick your ass?'' She said blowing a curl away from her eyes. Peter laughed loudly, leaning his head back. ''Shut up you idiot! Do you want to trigger an avalanche?'' She slapped his stomach but he kept laughing. She was obviously exaggerating.
They had made a bet on the bus, partially the result of three hours with nothing to do and partially because Rita wanted to prove Peter she could ski better than him - something proven dumb considering Peter was good at everything. She was too proud to ever tell him so.
''You'll so have to be my bitch Lancaster.'' Rita snorted so loud a snot bubble formed in her nose. Peter saw it and he didn't shut up about it for 10 minutes. He tried to get her to do another but it had been a life time thing.
Whoever lost the race down the smallest hill had to be the winner's personal task taker. They could only say No to something 3 times.
''Okay, so the path is-'' Rita's brainstorming was interrupted by Gen's iconic high pitched laugh.
''You know what?'' Peter's hands grabbed Rita's shoulders. He turned her to him before she could glance Gen's way. ''We should just go inside. I give up. You win.'' He was nervous and Peter Kavinsky doesn't get nervous.
''What are you on about Peter?'' She said furrowing her eyebrows at him.
''Nothing I just-''
''Alec stop!'' Genevieve's words pierced trough Rita's ears with excruciating pain. Peter looked defeated. Just a couple meters away from them were Alec and Gen. Gen had her hands on his chest. He was teaching her how to keep balance on the skies. She kept pretending the snow under her feet was way too slippery. He kept catching her.
