This picture was the closest I could find to Lucy for this chapter.
Lucy was already up and making coffee when her mother stumbled down the stairs. "Good morning! Sleep well?" She asked. Harley just moaned as she sat down. Lucy poured two fresh cups of coffee and gave one to her mom.
Ace and Jester suddenly raced down the stairs. "Ace, give it back!" Jester yelled as she chased Ace, who was holding her comic book. "Then let me borrow your roller skates! You're not using them!" Ace tried to bargain, while still keeping good distance from her sister. Arleen came down after them, mumbling about noise. Harley just watched as Jester finally snatched the book from her sister and agreed to lend her the skates.
Lucy sat down next to Harley, stirring sugar into her coffee. "So, Mom, are you going to the city again today? Cause I need new floss and Ace accidentally flushed her toothbrush down the toilet last night." She asked. Harley nodded, noting the items in her head. "Who's going with you today?" Arleen asked, having heard their conversation. Harley shrugged, too tired to say much. Lucy noticed, and out her hand on her shoulder. "Mom, are you okay?" She asked. Harley nodded, though not very convincingly. "Yeah, I'm just tired." She moaned. Lucy looked at Arleen, who shrugged. "Why don't me and Arleen go to the city? We'll get the items." She suggested.
Harley's eyes widened. "No. It's too dangerous by yourself. You could get lost, or get mugged." She listed. "Yeah, But we can take care of ourselves. Besides, we've been there so many times, it's kinda hard to get lost on a trip to the drug store."
Harley was quiet for a bit. She didn't get much sleep last night, and she was pretty tired. It was just a trip to the drug store. They'd be back in about a half an hour.
She looked at Arleen, who also waited for her answer.
"Ok, But you two have to promise to look after each other, and don't leave each other's side. Only go to the store, and than come right back here. My list should only add up to about $20, which I have in the emergency fund."
Lucy and Arleen nodded as Harley opened a drawer and took out a few fives and singles wrapped in a rubber band. "If you two aren't back by lunchtime, I'll swim over there and drag you back for the biggest lecture of your life." She smirked. Arleen pocketed the money and went with Lucy to get dressed.

"Mom sure seemed wound up about us going to the city, huh?" Arleen asked as she closed the bathroom door, her clothes in her arms. "Yeah. But don't blame her. She just wants us to be safe, which is understandable." Lucy said, holding up her jacket and jeans. "Yeah, But why? She trained us, and we can take care of ourselves. So why is she so worried?" Arleen's voice asked from in the room."I don't know. Maybe she's just not ready for us too go."
Arleen opened the door. She had on jeans with a T-short and jacket, and her hair was pulled up in a messy bun. "I don't know what she's so worried about. It's just a trip to the drug store." She said as Lucy walked past her. "What could happen?"

After getting dressed and putting her blue hair in a ponytail, Lucy joined Arleen and her mother by the boat. She tucked her phone into her back pocket as Harley helped Arleen into the boat. She then hugged her oldest daughter. "Be safe." She whispered, clearly on edge. Lucy smirked as she hugged her back. "Relax, Mom. We're just going to the circus and zoo." She said sarcastically.Arleen snickered as Lucy hopped into the boat, catching the keys as her mom tossed them. "The pharmacist should have my prescription drugs ready, so he shouldn't give you much trouble. If he does, there's a gun and two knives in your bag." She informed. Arleen checked, and sure enough a gun and knives were at the bottom of her bag. Lucy than turned the keys, and the boat turned on.
