i listened to my best friend, Rohanna talked about her boyfriend, Harvey, while we were walking towards the classroom. i listened with a half-hearted smile as she blabbered on and on about her amazing boyfriend that took her out on a date in the park. i smiled at her as she kept on talking about him.

i wouldn't mind someone talking about a boy, but the thing is that Max, my best friend's boyfriend's twin, was my crush. 

we kept walking until we reached the end of the corridor where our next class was at. i spaced out as i stood in front of the door, waiting for the teacher to come and tell us that we could go in the classroom.

"Izzy? Izzy!? hellooo? are you even listening?!" Rohanna says, waving her hands in my face.

"oh- uh, yeah? what?" you say, snapping out of my trance.

"Max is right there! look!" she says, pointing at the boy that was walking towards us.

i looked over and saw him, talking to his friends. he then turned my way and waved at me, which caused me to blush a pale pink.

i waved back nervously while my best friend nudged me.

"awwww, you guys are so cuteeeee~" she says, poking my arm.

she obviously knew about my giant crush on Max, and she was always teasing me about it. i didn't really mind, but it was just the fact that she always did it when Max was near us. it makes me so embarrassed to even look up at him or Rohanna.

the teacher suddenly comes out of the classroom and tells us to go in. i went inside the room, sitting down on an empty chair next to Rohanna. i sat there and watched the other people file in to the room and find a seat. i watched as Harvey came in and sat next to Rohanna, kissing her on the cheek lightly. Ugh. PDA. i rolled my eyes playfully as i moved my gaze back to the door where another student was coming in.

Max.

i watched him as he looked around for a seat. well there was only two seats left, and one of them was the seat next to me. the other one was next to the most popular and pretty girl in our entire grade, and i was pretty sure that he would choose the seat next to her.

but surprisingly, he went over to where i was and sat down next to me.

i looked over at Rohanna who was holding hands with Harvey. Rohanna glanced at me for a second until she saw Max sitting next to me. she winked at me playfully as i mentally groaned.

twenty minutes passed as the teacher taught us about the angles of a regular polygon and whatever crap there is in Math.

suddenly i felt a warm presence on my hand. i looked and realized that Max was holding my hand. i blushed a deep shade of red as i turned around so that i was facing him. it felt right and it felt wrong at the same time, so i let go of his hand. i didn't really want to, but it just felt really weird.

my heart was beating so fast as i managed to open my mouth to ask him why.

"why did you hold my hand?" i asked him as he gazed in to my hazel eyes.

"because i wanted to, Izzy," he started off, smiling at me," and i really like you."

i gasped and blushed at his statement, and my heart was almost exploding from what you were experiencing.

"i- i like you too." i said, looking down at your shoes.

"great, now let me take you out on a date. 6pm tonight yeah? i'll see you at your house." Max said, blushing a tiny bit from your confession.

"s-sure." i manage to stutter out, the corner of my lips starting to form a genuine smile.

Max just smiled in return and continued to hold my hand as sparks began to go through me.
