i walked along the stone paved road that stretched out to the park. i kept my head up, and my head was bobbing along to the beat of the song.

i walked in to the fresh green grass as i looked around for an empty bench.

i spotted an empty one near a tall tree that stood at the center of the park. i started to walk towards it, the grass nipping at my shoes.

i sat down on the wooden bench and unplugged my earphones from my phone and breathed in the fresh air.

i sat there for about ten minutes, taking in the scenery until i felt someone tap my shoulder from behind gently.

i looked back and saw...

Harvey Mills? my crush?

"hey ellen..." he starts, fiddling with his jacket zipper.

"hi harvey!" i respond cheerfully, patting the empty spot next to me on the bench, telling him to sit down. he sat down next to me as he handed me a plastic box, which i gratefully accepted.

"open the box," he said, smiling at me. i blushed lightly, tucking my brown hair between my ear.

i opened the box, revealing the objects that were kept inside. my eyes sparkled once i saw what was inside the box.

strawberries!

"t-thanks." i said, my smile stretching one mile wide.

harvey shifted closer to me, glancing in to my blue eyes. i stared back at his chestnut brown eyes, my face growing redder and redder every second.

"how did you know that strawberries were my favorite food?" i asked him out of the blue, breaking the "staring contest".

"you told me before in elementary school," he said, blushing a small pale pink.

"you remembered?" i awed, amazed by his strong memory.

"why would i forget?" harvey said, smiling at me.

i smiled and blushed intensely, staring at my shoes.

"so, would you go out with me?" harvey says, making me freeze in shock. in a good way though.

"sure." i answer finally. he smiles at me and pulls me in to a hug. i buried my face in to his chest, taking in all the warmth.

"great. i've been waiting for this day for so long."
