i run up to my locker, putting in the books that i held in my hand immediately. I looked over to the side where the most popular kid in school was standing, Max Mills.

I shook my head as I closed my locker and walked towards the other side of the hall. Where max stood. I didn't intend on walking to him, I just wanted to buy the watermelons before it all sold out.

As I walked past him, I felt a hand stop me from going further. i looked up and saw...

Max?

"Why a hurry, Lillia?" He asked me, looking at me. He knew my name? I blushed a little, before snapping back in to reality.

"I- I actually have somewhere to go," I say without hesitating. Max is actually kind of cute, but it's not like I have a giant crush on him or anything. Just maybe a little crush on him.

I removed his hand before walking away towards the food stall. I was really craving the watermelon at this moment.

Max POV

I sighed before watching Lillia walk off, heading towards the other side of the school.

"Damn, you'll never give up on her, won't you?" My best friend asks me, patting my shoulder. My best friend, also known as my twin brother, was Harvey.

"Nah, I won't." I answer shortly before looking back at him.

"Now tell me, what do you see in her?" He asks, grinning a bit. I hesitate, before answering him in a quiet tone.

"Well, she's really pretty. Her personality is really nice, and I don't get why anyone won't fall for her. Her brown hair and brown eyes, its basically a full package. She's also really smart, and during class she's always answering every single question. I really like her, Harvey. I have this feeling that were perfect for each other." I finally admit. I heave out a long sigh of relief. I have finally got it out of me, but not like it was a bad thing.

"How long have you liked Lillia?" Harvey asks, his eyebrows raised.

"Ever since the start of the year. Basically the day i met her." I said, a light blush appearing on my cheeks.

"Well then why don't you go and confess to her? Go!" He says, pushing me towards the direction she went.

Lillia POV

I was about to get my wallet out of my bag until someone slid the money to the cashier.

Someone paid for my food?

I turned around to face Max, who was grabbing the watermelon for me.

i took it out of his hands and thanked him and slowly walked away. But he followed me around. Guess I'll just have to say something anyway.

"Why did you pay for it?" I asked him, glancing at him with a confused face.

"Do you- did you not want me to?" He says, a bit of hurt on his face.

"No, its just you didn't have to do that. Thanks by the way." I say, taking a bite out of the watermelon. His expression softened a little after I said those words.

"But why though?" I ask again, my face filled with curiosity.

"Because-" Max starts, before blushing a little bit.

"Because...?" I say, wanting him to continue. It was very nice of him to pay for my food, but he didn't really need to.

"Because, Lillia, I really like you. Ever since the day I saw you, and if I remember you were wearing a light blue t-shirt with black denim jeans. you immediately got stuck in my head, and I knew I would never forget about you." He says, looking down at his shoes.

The most popular kid in school just... confessed to me?!

I just stood there in shock as he looked back up and opened his mouth to say something else. I nodded my head, telling him to speak.

"Lillia, would you go out on a date with me?" He asks me, fiddling with his fingers.

"Yes, yes of course." I say, smiling. I hugged him tightly, my heart beating fast about what just happened.

"great." He says, burying his head in to my hair.
