By Christmas Cassidy was 3 and half months along and started to round out. She took pictures of her ultrasounds and her belly and made an album on her facebook "Baby Mercer". She was sitting in her room and crying she was starting to miss Bucky she felt awful for what his dad did but she had to think about the baby not just her or him.
Katherine heard her and looked down. She went downstairs and let James and Winnie in for Christmas dinner. They sat down and Winnie said "Is Cassidy not eating?'
"She's not having a good day.. she cries a lot." Katherine said
"What happened?' Winnie said
"She heard from Natasha that Bucky told Steve that he wasn't coming back here." Katherine said
James said "He's stationed in VA I offered to buy him a ticket home he said no he would rather be alone then be here."
Bucky was sitting at his base home on his facebook and he was looking at all his friends stuff that they had been posting and then he saw Natasha and Wanda with Cassidy kissing her bump with the caption "Happy Birthday Cassidy Jo we love you and we already love this baby." Bucky saw that Nat had posted it two days ago on December 22nd. Then he saw where Cassidy wrote "Thanks for making my birthday cake Nat me and the baby loved it and thank you guys for always being there for me even if I don't go to the school anymore I love you both."
Bucky re read her comment thinking that he read it wrong and he messaged Steve and said "Hey why would Cassidy say she's not going to school anymore did she drop out?'
"No.. the boys let the whole school know that she was at fault for us losing the championship and everyone joined in on the mockery and she left in tears and apparently told her mom she never wanted to go back so her mom has been homeschooling her she's actually going to graduate after the holidays cause she already had enough credits to graduate early. She got a job at the gymnastics place teaching dance to the 3 year old class." " Steve wrote back.
Bucky pulled up her facebook and saw her last post "Guess I'm meant to never have happiness just me and my baby that's all I need."
He pulled up the album where he saw ultrasounds and saw what she named it and saw her last belly picture *14 weeks* was the caption.
Meanwhile back in GA Cassidy came downstairs and made herself a plate and James said "You are glowing Cassidy."
She ignored him and took her plate upstairs. Katherine looked down and said "I'm sorry James she hates you the most."
Winnie wiped tears and got up and went upstairs and knocked on her door and "Go away." she said
She opened the door and said "Cassidy.."
She sat down beside her as she ate her food and said "Do you want me to relay a message to him."
"No.. the message I want to say I can't say it was one of our rules." she said as she wiped tears.
"What rule is that?' Winnie said
"We weren't suppose to fall in love it may have been sex once a week all night long but I fell in love with him. But I know that he's one of those guys you can't change who he is just cause you want to date him so I'm just going to be like my mom and be a single mom." she said as she wiped tears
"Honey I'm sorry he didn't want to come home for Christmas." Winnie said
"It's fine everybody hates me. Except for Natasha and Wanda." she said
"Honey.." Winnie said
"I know it was him that told the boys that it's my fault I know he did it cause he was pissed off at me and I ruined his life so he decided to ruin mine I'm not stupid." she said
"What are you talking about?" Winnie said as James stood outside the door.
"The Monday after everything happened the reason I'm being homeschooled is because Bucky told the boys that he was being sent away because of me and they blamed me for them losing the championship and everyone joined in and made me feel worse then I already was." Cassidy said as she wiped tears.
That night James called Bucky and said "James did you tell the boys that it was Cassidy's fault that I sent you to boot camp to ruin her name at school."
Bucky didn't say anything and James said "James Buchanan you do realize that she gave up her captain spot that she was able to keep even if she couldn't cheer and lost her cheer scholarship because she's no longer cheering and when the college found they revoked her cheer scholarship she's having to go here at the community college."
"Dad I don't want to talk about this anymore okay.." Bucky said
"James Buchanan she's the mother of your baby." James said
"Dad it doesn't matter it's clear that her and Katherine are giving the baby their last name." Bucky said
"Because of me James not you because I sent you away. Katherine is pissed off at me cause instead of making you step up I decided to punish you for what you did because you aren't ready to be a dad you don't know when to grow up."
"Dad I'm 18 years old I should be playing basketball right now not here in VA where you had them ship me off too after I was done. I don't want to be home cause I hate her and you." Bucky said
"Well just so you know I love you son." James said
Bucky hung up.
