It was the first home game of the new school year and the Eagle Heights Thunderbolts won their first game of the season as always the crown screams and hollers as Sam Wilson scores the winning touch down. Sam runs over and kisses his girl Laurel Jones and high fives the guys and heads back to the locker room. Cassidy was gathering up her stuff and the coach came over and said "By the way Cassidy tonight's routines were perfect you are doing a great job as captain."
"Thank you Coach Jackson." Cassidy said as she got her keys out of the bag.
She headed home and took a nice hot shower and then got dressed and headed to the party thrown by Clint Barton the senior tight end. Cassidy had a few drinks and danced with some of the girls and then headed home. Bucky went over to a cheerleader whose been captain and he said "So we get to continue our tradition Ellie."
"Um nope we don't it seems that Coach Jackson has appointed a new captain for both cheer and dance and that is Cassidy Mercer." Ellie said
"What? Whose that?' Bucky said
"Cassidy Mercer is the blonde cheerleader and dancer that's always in the middle when she goes in the air and she's always front and center when we do the dance routines. She's the new captain but good luck with her Barnes." Ellie said as she walked off.
He was still just as confused as to how could Ellie not be captain again she's been captain for the past 3 years. Steve came over to him and said "What's wrong?'
"Ellie is no longer captain of the cheer or dance team." Bucky said
"Oh yea Natasha said that Coach Jackson chose Cassidy to lead the team during her last year cause she wants a captain that can get them trophies not just ribbons." Steve said
The next day after football practice he came in with the guys and watched Cassidy who had curves and a six pack and tanned big blue eyes and blonde hair. He swallowed hard and said "Damn.."
Steve said "Cassidy has been a cheerleader as long as they girls how have you not noticed her till now."
"Well I only sleep with the captains." Bucky said
"Yeah well I hope you are being careful." Steve said
"I am always careful." Bucky said
Bucky spent the next few days trying to come up with a way to get Cassidy to sleep with him. He spent Monday and Tuesday trying to find out if she had a boyfriend so he asked around and they all said that she hasn't dated in awhile. Then Wednesday and Thursday he tried to come up with the best pick up line to use on her.
Friday afternoon rolled around and Coach Lambert said "Okay I need my two team captains the cheer captain and football captain."
Cassidy walked over to him as well as Bucky did the same and he said "You two will sit together when we have away games and you sit in the back so you can keep an eye on your team."
"Yes sir "Cassidy said
"Yeah Coach" Bucky said
"Go ahead and get on the bus. She put her cheer bag in the side trunk of the bus and got on the bus and sat down. Bucky sat beside her and he said "Hi I'm Bucky Barnes."
"Hi Cassidy Mercer. And I already knew who you were." she said
"You did." he said trying to pretend like he didn't think everybody knew who he was.
"Yes you have been the captain since middle school." she said
The bus started going to the county over for the away game that they had that night.
