Chapter 2

Willow's POV
Rye begins to walk over to me and is smiling wide, where as I am firing with anger. "Willow, hi! How was your day?" He asks, I look to the sky and hold my backpack straps tight.
"The nerve of some people! It's our last day and yet Lizzy decided to shout her mouth off about...." He looks at me confused "you know who, on the last day. Just to make a side show out of me"
"Who?" Rye says, he looks at me and tilts his head. I roll my eyes and storm off, with a roar of anger "tell me later then!?" He says chasing after me. I swear, that 10 year old boy. Is one of the most annoying child, I know.
We arrive at our house and he's still nagging me about what I said. He will drop it as soon as he sees Uncle Haymitch. They get along like a house on fire, but he's beginning to loose his senses. It's upsetting really. I open the door and pull off my snow boots. "Hi, Mum!" I shout and Rye repeats it. My mother appears from behind a door and smiles at us,
"Hi, how was your day?" She asks walking back into the kitchen, and wipes down the work tops and I drop my bag on the sofa and sit at the breakfast bar.
"it was fine, I guess" I say, no emotion in my voice nor on my face.
"Willow's got a boyfriend!" He says, jumping on the seat next to me and poking me. I lift my arm that I'm leaning my head on, off. The table and raise my hand to punch his arm
"shut up!" I shout
"Willow!" I turn my head with my clenched fist in the air and see my father with his arms folded, I drop my hand and he walks over smiling "thank you" he says, he kisses me and Rye on the head and then my mother.
"Willow, your room is a mess. Clean it, please" my mother says. I huff and walk to my room. I hear my mother talk to Rye. The door bell suddenly rings and I run to answer.
"Aunt Effie, Uncle Haymitch!" I feel a warm body wrap around mine. "Rye! Come say hi!"
