I was sleeping when I a sharp pain in my neck. I felt like I was being strangled. I opened my eyes, terrified but I was just greeted by my leash.
My leash was especially tight so I couldn't breath if I disobeyed.I got up and followed the leash because It really hurt. I was half asleep and I had no idea what was going on.
Next thing I knew we were at a giant national bank. It all came to me like a slap in the face.
The biggest robbery ever.
I didn't know what to do but my owners sure did.
Robert tapped away on his computer."Cameras disabled."
James started doing complicated things to unlock the door.
When it was open they sent me in to check for guards.
I felt Robert's gloves push me in.
I had just stepped one step when an alarm went off."I thought the alarm didn't work!" Robert yelled furiously at James.
"Obviously, so did I!"James yelled back.
Chaos was everywhere. Next thing I knew I heard a police sirens. I was actually happy because my owners could be arrested! But in the chaos they had left me, abandoned me and I was all alone.
I didn't know what to do.
A police jumped out of the car and saw me. He picked up my leash, carefully thinking I was going to attack. I just panted. I was overjoyed that I was away from my owners but sad that they didn't get arrested.
The police pulled me to take me to the other policemen.
I choked.
He heard me chocking and then took of my collar. He was shocked at the scar under my collar. I had worn it for too long, so the air on my neck felt strange yet refreshing. He brought me next to some other policemen and said: "I found an abused dog not to mention I'm pretty sure he's part of the crime."
"That's not our problem the police at the department will decide what to do with him." A bald police man said.
Then while one police stayed with me the others looked for the robbers."Clear"
"Clear"
"Clear"
They took me to one of the many police cars and put me in the back seat.
They drove me to a vet. This was my third time at a vet.
The first time I was born.
The second time I got my shots.
It smelt like animals and medicine. The vet looked at my scar and checked to see if it was infected. I got lucky because it wasn't, but she put some cream on it and gave me a bath. I have to admit I hated having a bath but it was a great feeling to be cared for.
I still didn't get the love I wanted but care was a step closer.
