Toby had just completed a fresh kill. Scoping out the area as he walked soundlessly through the wooded area. His hatchets at his side dripping drops of the thick dark liquid from his victim that now laid lifelessly on the ground. Alice was calmly walking the streets late at night alone. Her earbuds were in and she was at peace.
Toby skimmed the tree line at the nearby road, stepping out under a street lamp. Alice jumped a bit at the sight of an unknown young man. She quickly walked past him not wanting trouble immediately at edge.
Alice could hear a low chuckle come out of the young man. She pulled an earbud out thinking he had said something to her. She watched to see if he was going to follow her. Toby watched her pass, clenching one of his freshly blood covered hatches in his hand. Once she got far away, he slowly stalked behind her.
As Alice reached her front door, she didn't feel safe. She studies him carefully. Toby had stopped in his tracks and twitched slightly. He emerged into the darkness and safety of the tree line. Alice quickly went into her house locking all doors and windows and closed all the blinds. Her tendrils slowly came out sensing she was in danger. Alice sat in the corner not wanting to hurt anyone. Not even if he was going to kill her.
Toby followed the tree line to the girl's backyard. Knowing for a fact she had locked up completely, he got out of the porch light's view and found a vent to the basement. He quietly took the cover off, sliding inside without a sound. Toby slowly walked up the basement stairs being as quiet as possible. As he opened the door, he immediately made sure she could hear his footsteps. Alice's tendrils took over pushing her body up as they were getting into a defensive position.
Alice let out small whimpers and apologies. Toby couldn't hold back chuckles that turned into hysterical laughter. Slowly he searched the house wanting to cause as much panic as possible to the girl.
"I don't want to hurt anyone." Alice started stumbling towards his general direction. She stood at the end of the hallway as her tendril slithered his way wrapping around his leg. "They're hungry."
Toby immediately looked down at the all too common feeling of a tendril, tendrils that would gladly slam him against a tree at the moment he dared to disobey or stepped out of line. He tenses up not being able to look away from them.
Alice started to scream as the tendrils wrapped around his limbs. "Stop it!"
Toby couldn't see that they were coming from her panicking. "I didn't mess up! I won't disobey! I promise!"
Alice looks at him confused. "You know my father?" The tendrils dropped Toby. He stumbles breathing heavily still in a panic. Alice goes to the floor crawling to him. "Are you okay?"
Toby's eyes frantically looked around before jumping up immediately running to a window almost tripping over himself multiple times trying to get it to open to escape. Alice's tendrils gently held his waist. "Please don't leave. You know my father."
Toby frantically squirms at being touched again. His chest rising and falling quickly in panic as he clawed at the window trying to escape. Alice walked towards him with a frown. "I'm not going to hurt you." She cupped his face.
Toby flinched not liking the contact. Tensing up completely, and looked for a moment to strike. His eyes were wide behind his orange goggles. Alice started to cry and she curls up in a ball on the floor. "I just want to know where he is."
Toby saw this as his escape, running in a different direction, but before he could reach the door he passed out, hitting the floor, hard, from panic.
