Fucked Up

Alice clenched her jaw angry about not being the one to do it, but a smirk appeared on her face as she watched him get what he deserved. 

"I'll let you take it from here. Masky, Hoodie, you know the limits." With that, Slenderman was gone. Masky picking up a nearby crowbar slowly approaching Toby. Alice watched in amazement as her emotional pain became his physical pain. Masky raised the crowbar before bringing it down hard on Toby. He repaeated this each time harder and with more force. Ignoring every plea and beg, Toby choked an the blood dripping down his face. 

Alice clenched her fist fighting the urge to interfere. After a minute passed, her tendrils stopped Masky from going any further. "I don't care if you hit me, but I think that's enough." Dropping to the floor, Toby couldn't hold himself up anymore. 

"The little shit has gone through worse." Masky growled jerking the crowbar out of the tendril's grip and tossed it to the side. As soon as he was gone, Alice rushed to Toby's aid. 

She wiped the blood and tears out of his face. Toby flinched and cowered back. "F-fuck you." His voice was broken and cracked. 

Leaning close to his ear, she whispered, "What you feel right now, is exactly what my heart feels like." 

"Lair!" Lashing out, Toby attempted to stand. 

"Funny. You said you loved me. You're the lair." 

Toby lost it. "I did! I still do! I said all of that so you wouldn't have the same fate as I did! I didn't what THIS to happen to you!" A wave of agony washed over Alice. 

Was the 'The voices shut up around you' a lie too?" Tears ran down her face. "Stop lying to me. Just stop. Tell me the goddamn truth! It was a set up." 

"Why would I risk my life for you, as a set up?" 

Alice held her head as the voices screamed at her. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" She yelled back. Calming down, she looked at him. "Let me help you."

"I'd rather bleed out- you want that."

"When you love someone, no matter what they do, you still love them." Alice tore part of her shirt off tying it over his worst wound. 

"You want me as your fist kill." 

"I wanted you to know it hurt. I wasn't going to kill you." Alice ignored the tears running down her face. "You're the only person I love. I should have guessed you didn't love me back. From the start, I should have listened to the voices." 

"If you loved me, you would have let me go. You wouldn't have followed me." 

"I fucking need you! They're quiet around you."

"You get used to them." Toby forced himself up grabbing the wall for support. "Beat half dead for you to live and it's still all about you." 

"Let me help you and then you can leave me. I just want to help you." 

"Your own father ordered me to kill you. I tried and ended up here. The moment he knows things happened between us, I'm not going to be able to get up." He shuffled away, guiding himself with the wall. Blood was dripping down from him. 

Rushing to his side to help him, she attempted to reassure him. "He's not going to find out. I'll go away. You'll never see me again. Gone. Dead." Toby's eyes narrowed only focused on getting out of reach. "Or I can do it now. Disappear. Gone. Dead." The tendrils wrapped around her own neck. 

Reaching his breaking point, he whispered. "Why are you doing this to me?" Alice looked at him and wanted to cup his face and tell him it was going to be okay, but she just stood there. 

"I just want to make your live easier, better, safer." Her tendrils went into hiding as she cried harder. "I just wanted to be happy with you like it was so close to being. Being able to cuddle on the couch and fall asleep without all this mess. To see your smile every morning, but I fucked it all up being the monster he wants me to be." Alice crashed to the ground not being able to hold her own weight. Blood pooled around Toby as he crashed next to her. 

"I fucked up."

Alice sniffled knowing she had to get back up and be the strong one at the moment. Wiping his tears and blood out of his face, her tendrils picked him up. She ignored his pleas as he walked back to her house to take care of his wounds.
