As Toby got out of the shower, he shook his head in need of a haircut. He wrapped a towel around his waist looking around realizing he had forgotten the clothes in the girl's bedroom. Quietly, he opened the door walking out with the bundle of clothes and gear. "M-Miss?" Alice jumped up wide awake at the sound of his voice.
"I'm sorry." She got up and takes his clothes to the washing machine.
"U-uh." He forces out not use to talking or any sort of communication. Alice rubbed her eyes sleepily as she starts the washer.
"You can have the bedroom, I'll be on the couch if you need anything." Alice laid down on the couch not being able to keep her eyes open for long. Toby nodded not making eye contact, walking back to the room he woke up in. He changed into the clean, given clothes.
Alice had curled up in a ball going back to sleep. He peeked out at her before going back to the bathroom. Toby looked at himself in the mirror. Rubbing a bandaged hand across his face, he not happy with the stubble that was there. Toby searched the entire bathroom for a razor. Eventually, he found one that wasn't in pieces. After shaving his face, he cut off some of his hair grooming himself. Toby cleaned up the bathroom and walked out to see Alice sitting up on the floor rubbing her eyes. He flicked the light off.
"S-sorry." Toby apologized for disturbing her sleep. She shook her head.
"It's not your fault." Alice looks away. "You're perfect," Toby repeated the last words to himself looking at her with a tilted head. "You get to see him. He accepts you." She felt the sting of tear form in her eyes.
"S-slave."
With the simple word, Alice's blood began to boil with anger. "I'm going to kill him." She didn't understand why she wanted the best for the strange young man who came to kill her. It wasn't normal. Her way of thinking wasn't sane.
Toby shook his head backing up a bit. She stood up slipping a hoodie on before running outside and started screaming. "Come on motherfucker!" Toby ran over and grabs her by the hood before she could get any further towards the tree line. He threw her over his shoulder and went back inside.
"Don't. Let. Him. Find. Me." Toby growled coldly. Alice had tears running down her face as she kicked trying to make him put her down.
"I'm going to kill him!" She screamed.
"N-no you're n-not." He was far too used to the struggling and kept a tight hold of the girl. Alice calmed down a bit noticing his touch.
"Put me down before you hurt yourself." She said as she felt a blush creep on her face.
"N-nonsense...I c-can't." Alice sighed her blush growing.
"Put me down."
"Sit still." He tells her almost a command as he sets her down gently on the couch. Alice sat completely still obeying him for an unknown reason. Toby looked confused looking down at her not expecting her to actually do as she was told. She soon realized it was her tendrils holding her still.
"They like you."
"I don't like them." Toby stared at the tendrils knowing what they were capable of at any moment. Alice looked down.
"I don't either... 'You're a monster' They screamed. Not even the monster of my father wants me."
With that Toby started going down the list of names he had been deemed over the years. Trying his best to make her feel better realizing she was actually helping rather than a threat. He saw that this was the least he could do. "R-retard, faggot, t-twink, Ticci Toby." He went on.
Alice frowned as her tendrils got excited. "Can I kill them?"
"Taken care of." He pointed to the hatchets. Alice giggled still not moving. Toby saw this as good and smiled.
