Ruined Happiness

Alice clenched her jaw as the voices started back up, screaming in her head. "Shit." She raced out of the door after Toby following the sound of footsteps. 

Toby had managed to run deep into the woods only stopping to look around as static filled his thought process. He grasped his ears screaming out feeling the warm red liquid drip onto his hands. Two men approaching him. 

Alice raced towards the screaming going to his side looking at the two men. "Come on motherfuckers." Her tendrils were already slithering towards them. They didn't seem fazed, one even tilting his head. 

"Alice..n-no." Toby stumbled slightly. Alice clenched her jaw tendrils wrapping around the unfamiliar men tightly. 

"I need to speak to your boss."

"Unauthorized." One spoke his voice close to being demonic. 

"Really?" She laughed. "He's my fucking father."  Her tendrils reached around the one who answered neck. 

"Oh? And we're.. we're supposed to give a shit?" The other chuckled. He was to use the tendrils to be impressed. The tendrils got tight around his neck. 

"Alice.. no... Masky.. shut up."  Toby pushed in front of her. Alice had forgotten about the one with the tendrils around his neck tightened as he started to claw at them. "Hoodie!- Alice stop it!" Hearing Toby's voice, Alice stopped and dropped Hoodie. Masky and Toby both ran over to Hoodie. "He d-didn't do anything!" 

"You're on his side?" She asked feeling a sting of betrayal. 

"They're my family." Alice took a step back shaking her head as the voices got loud. 

Masky growled, "Rodgers, what the fuck have you done." Toby flinched hiding behind Hoodie. 

"I'm sorry." Alice clenched her jaw starting to walk away slowly. 

"We found him. Let's go." Alice stopped in her tracks. 

"N-no please." She started crying uncontrollably. 

Masky chuckled finding humor in her pathetic state. "What: Did you play too much with your food? Or did you see your dead fucking sister in her? You are a sick little fuck aren't ya?" Alice's tendrils wrapped around Masky's throat. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, the Slender side taking over. 

Hoodie immediately pulled out a gun. Toby grabbed his arm. Nodding, Hoodie lowered it. 

"Guess I was right." Masky laughed. Alice lost control of her own body. The tendrils threw Masky against a tree. Tears ran down her face from her humane side hating what was happening. Masky stumbled to get up. "I'm too fucking use to that." 

Looking at Toby, Alice managed to scream. " I can't stop it." 

"And we're the pathetic ones?" Masky laughed more. Toby stood frozen only able to twitch.

"Stand down Tim," Hoodie spoke also frozen.  Alice's tendril wrapped around Masky's arm bending it unnaturally close to breaking it. Toby wasn't able to stop Hoodie as he shot at Alice multiple times. 

Alice fell to the ground, her tendrils retracting. She coughed up a few bullets. Toby ran to her side hugging her tightly. She cried into his shoulder, her wounds bleeding out. "They're going to take you away from me." She whimpered. As Hoodie tried to start cleaning her wounds, she pulled away. 

Alice got enough strength to stand up on her own. Toby maintained her eye contact as Masky crept behind Alice with a large rock. He let out a nervous chuckle before slamming the rock into her skull, knocking her out.
