I rolled over in my bed and pulled the blanket farther over my face in an attempt to block out the light.
I groaned as my feeble attempt proved to be worthless and forced one eye open to look around the room. I couldn't see far because there was a figure looming over my bed, watching me. At first I thought it was Hoshi trying to freak me out but as my eye adjusted to the light I could see that the figure was much too tall to be Hoshi.
“ Zarbon?” I yawned, pulling the blanket away from my face and sat up. “ What are you doing here?”
Zarbon smiled in his usual creepy way at me and I inched away from him.
“ Just checking to make sure you were alright. You took a very big beating yesterday and I was just making sure that you were completely healed.”
I swung my feet to the other side of my bed and stood up, not tearing my eyes away from Zarbon.
“ Thanks for your concern but I'm fine.” I replied, smiling at Zarbon before I scanned the rest of the room. Hm I wonder where Hoshi went.
“ Where's Hoshi?”
Zarbon's smile wavered a bit at the mentioning of Hoshi's name.
“ She left a bit ago to attend to some matters.”
I cocked my head to the side in confusion. I wonder what was so important that Hoshi would have had left without telling me at first. Oh well.
I leaned over and picked up the armor I had placed beside my bed the night before and slipped it on along with my scouter.
“ Oh ok. I'll just go find her then.” I informed Zarbon, placing my fingers on my forehead and searched for Hoshi's ki. I spotted it almost instantly and locked onto it.
“ I don't think so.” Zarbon growled, lunging at me and aimed for my tail.
I moved my tail to the side swiftly and wrapped it around my waist and away from Zarbon's grasp.
“ Hey!” I growled. “ You can't just go around and grab other people's tails. It's not nice.”
Zarbon now stood directly beside me, a surprised look on his face. Whoops I guess I had moved my tail much faster than someone at a 20,000 power level should be capable of.
I crossed my arms in defiance and glared at him.
“ Why can't I go find Hoshi?”
Zarbon's smile threatened to break into a frown and an impatient look crossed his face.
“ I just... I just wanted to hang out with you for a bit, you know, just to talk and stuff.” Zarbon whispered the last word happily and my glare disappeared and a bored expression replaced it.
“ Oh well. I guess we could talk....”
I sat down on my bed and Zarbon sat beside me, smiling brightly at me. I inched away a bit from Zarbon in an attempt to establish personal space.
“ So what did you want to talk about?”
“ Oh well anything really. Hmm how about yourself. I mean we might as well get to know each other. We are friends, right?”
I nodded. For some reason I was getting a creepy feeling from him.
“ Um well what do you want to know about me?”
Zarbon inched closer to me and placed his arm on my shoulder.
“ Whatever you want to share really.”
I stiffened uncomfortably as soon as Zarbon's arm came in contact with my skin and I leapt up from the bed.
“ Er Zarbon can you please not get so close to me..” I asked nervously. I didn't want to offend him but it wasn't normal for a male friend to put their arm around another friend, especially a female friend. Well then again maybe it was in his culture.
