Chapter 8

Lauren pov
I wake up after I hear a door closing. I look around and realize Kenzie isn't here. I walk downstairs and see the front door cracked open.
"Sh*t" I murmur to myself. I walk back upstairs and wake everyone up. They all groan.
"What do you want lolo" Annie says rubbing her eyes. Hayden then gets up and grabs Annie and pulls her to him.
Carson walks over to me kisses my forehead and asks "what time is it?"
Johnny yawns and looks at his phone.
"3:14? Wtf Lauren" he scolds at me then he looks around the room.
"Wait a sec.. where's Kenzie?" He asks.
"Exactly!" I yell.

We're at the park now. We're looking everywhere but we can't find her.
"Kenzie!" we yell everywhere but she's no where to be found. I walk over to a bench and sit down. It's all my fault.
"No it's not babe" Carson says sitting down. Guess I said that out loud. He puts his arm around my shoulder.
"Don't blame yourself it's all this Brandon dudes fault" he says reassuringly. I lean my head against his chest and curl up into a ball. Tears fill my eyes and I sniffle.
"I just want to find her" I whisper.
"I know baby, I know" he replies and his arm tightens around me.

It's been 2 days since Kenzie left. We still don't know where she went. We suspect Brandon's behind this. We haven't told he police because we don't have any real evidence that it was Brandon. I was in Kenzie's room when I got a text message from an unknown number.
(not)real-number - i know where Mackenzie is, meet me at the park in 10 mins. Don't be late.
2:39 a.m.
I gasp. I have to go. No matter if it's fake I have to go, I'm desperate.

I'm at the park. When I see, ughhhh, Brandon.
"What" I say rolling my eyes.
"Marry me or Mackenzie gets it."
"Wait what" I'm confused.
"You heard me, marry me or Mackenzie will die" he says, slowly this time.
"what" I whisper. He takes out his phone and shows me a picture of Mackenzie sleeping. No shes not sleeping she's unconscious. I sharply inhale and look Brandon in the eyes.
