Chapter 14

Johnny

Carson is furiously working on the lap top and looking for the location of where ken- um the camera is.
"I got it!" He shouts. I quickly take the lap top from him and look. I begin researching on the place and find out some very bad things about it.
"guys, um, this place is very dangerous." I say hesitantly. 
"So! It's for Kenz, Johnny come on!" Lauren shouts.
"I know! What I was trying to say is that we need some sort of protection or something to defend our selves with." I reply.
"Lauren! Do you have a knife?" Annie asks.
Lauren quickly runs down stairs as the rest of us follow. She opens a drawer and takes out a small, but sharp, kitchen knife. She hands it to Hayden.
"I only have one." She says.
"Why only one?" Hayden asks.
"Because Brandon doesn't let me have more. I practically begged to get this one because I needed it to cook. He thinks I might try to attack him."
"I'm surprised you haven't." Annie mutters, we all try not to laugh.
Lauren gives a small smile and says, "Annie be with Hayden so he can protect you, me Carson and Johnny will be together until we find something else.
"Okay well, let's get going" Carson says.

Carson parks the car as we all get off.
"Ok we have a 10 minute walk to get to the city." Hayden says. We had to park the car some where further away because we didn't want people trying to steal it.

We get to the city and honestly, it doesn't look like a city. The buildings are all old and are covered in vines. Some have even collapsed. There are a bunch of people everywhere but no one talks. Most of them wear rags and there are even some fights. No cars in sight.
I watch as Carson secretly looks at his phone for directions. We don't want anyone trying to attack or rob us.
Carson turns to us and whispers, "this way."

Lauren

We are hidden on the side of a building. Johnny and Hayden are looking around the corner of it.
"He's still there" Hayden says. The person he is talking about is a man in front of the building the camera is in. Hopefully Kenzie is in there too. We are all trying to get a better look when we hear a gasp. We turn around to see Annie by some trash bags bending over. She picks up something and holds it up. Shiny and sharp, a knife. Carson walks over to her and takes it from her.
"Lauren you're with me" he says pulling me closer to him. Johnny walks over to where Annie was and looks around. Moments later he pulls out another knife. This one is more like a pocket knife but it still works.
"I'm going for Kenzie" he says.

My clothes are ripped and covered in holes. Annie's and Hayden's look the same as mine. Johnny's and Carson's look the same but theirs are covered in mud. We're just trying to 'fit' In.
We walk up to the building and the man standing there approaches Johnny.
"What do you want" he harshly asks.
"Let us in" Johnny says.
The man gives a small smirk before saying, "no can do."
Carson lifts his hand to reveal the knife he's holding. The man takes a few steps closer to him before taking out a big knife and aiming it at Carson.
"oh my god" I whisper covering my mouth.
Before the man can stab him though, Johnny quickly digs his knife into the mans back.
There's a loud gasp that passes through us. Me and Carson take a step back as the man falls to the ground.
"You all stay out here" Johnny says. "I'm going for Kenzie."

Sorry I changed the point of view in this chapter. I accidentally started writing in Lauren's point of view and was too lazy to go back and re write everything. I'll make the next chapter in Johnny's point of view though ;)
