Chapter 13

Lauren

It's been 2 months. Yes two months since Kenzie disappeared. Two months since I've had any time to relax. Two months since I married Brandon. Why? Because it's the only way to get kenz back. He's been promising that she's fine but honestly, I'm not sure if I believe him anymore. I know I know I can't lose hope but it's so hard to hope when I don't have any evidence that's she's still alive.

knock knock* "what's taking you so long babe?" Brandon calls from the other side of the door. Ugh great. Not only do I have to live with him but I also have to pretend to love him.
I go and open the bathroom door.
"Oh sorry babe I was just uh..... pooping!" I blurt our. Great thinking Lauren.
"Ew" he replies with a look of disgust on his face. I mentally roll my eyes.
"Well get out I'm going to shower" he says shoving me out of the way.
"Wait! Brandon" I say before he closes he door on me.
"What?"
"How do I know Kenzie's still alive?"

I'm sat on the couch. I watch as Brandon plugs some thing up onto the tv. He opens some file on his laptop and connects some cord to it. Now I can see his laptops screen on the tv. I watch as he clicks another file that says 'camera M'. He then comes and sits next to me. I watch with horror as I see a small girl with blood stains all over. Blood covers the floor of the room she is in.
"Oh Kenzie" I whisper as my eyes begin to water. She slowly makes her way to the middle of the room where the camera can clearly see her. She looks straight into it and screams an ear piercing scream.
"Get me out of here! Let me go!" She repeats over and over. Then on the side a door opens. She quickly makes her way to the corner of the room furthest away from the door. A man comes in with a whip in his hand.
"'No no no please no!" Kenzie begs as she gets on her knees. The man approaches her and lifts the whip.

"Ok that's enough" Brandon says as he runs to turn the tv off.
"Wait what no! who is that man? Why is she covered in blood? Why do you have her there? What are you doing to her?" I ask him shouting.
When he doesn't answer I get angry and shout louder this time, " listen to me Brandon!" I point a finger at him ready to say something else but he grabs my wrist.
"No you listen to me!" He shouts, " I don't have to answer anything you say, I can do whatever I want because you're mine! Mine and only mine and you have to do as I say!" He then pushes me onto the couch and goes upstairs.

"Bye babe" he says as he leans in to kiss me. I kiss back forcing myself to not puke. He walks out the door and into his car. He said he was going on a business trip but he's only taking his phone with him, no papers or his laptop. Wait his laptop! I run to the window to make sure he's gone before I sprint upstairs to our bedroom and grab his laptop. I open it and luckily it doesn't have a password. I look through his files and find one with the name 'camera M'.
"Yes!" I exclaim. I run over to his closet and take my phone out of his black leather jacket. He doesn't let me have my phone but now that he's gone I can do whatever I want. I quickly text the group chat.

After texting them I wait in the kitchen. I start making some food to get me distracted.
After about 10 minutes I hear two cars pull up in the drive way. I quickly run out to greet them. I hug annie first. We hug each other tightly before I hug Hayden, then I hug Johnny and I'm so happy I'm finally back with my brother. I've missed him (and the rest of the group) so much. Finally I run into Carson's arms. He picks me up and spins me as I hold tightly onto him. My arms are wrapped around his neck and his are around my waist. He puts me down and gives me a kiss that I never want to end.
We walk inside and I lead them to the living room first. I offer them food and they eat for about 20 minutes before we head upstairs. I open Brandon's lap top and begin explaining.
