Chapter 10

Lauren P.O.V
*ring ring* *beep*
hey it's kenz, leave a message.
No answer, again. I sigh as I fall onto the bed. I squeeze my eyes shut to try and keep the tears forming in my eyes from falling. It doesn't work, they fall anyway. But I can't help it. Kenzie is gone and in order to hopefully get her back I have to marry.... Brandon. Ughhh! I hate him so much! But I need Kenzie back, and I think Johnny does too. *knock knock* speaking of him, he walks in.
"Hey Lauren" he says. I can tell from his red, swollen eyes that he's been crying too.
"Any answer?" He asks. I know he's trying to be hopeful but I can hear the doubt in his voice. I look him in the eye and he looks down. He knows the answer without me saying anything. He walks over to my bed and sits down on the edge.
"I miss her," he whispers. I know he didn't mean for me to hear him but I did. "I know Johnny, me too."

"I don't know if I can do it" I say holding back the sobs.
"I know, but you have to babe, it's for kenz" he says while stroking my hair gently.
"ca-carson" I whisper. I look up at him as he looks down at me. I see the sadness in his eyes. He hugs me tightly as I rest my head on his chest. His steady breathing and the pumping of his heart sooth me. I close my eyes and let myself relax.
"Babe, it's time to - um it's time to go"
The tears I didn't know I was holding back roll down my cheeks. I nod as I stand up. I take in a deep breath and grab my phone off my bedside table.
