chapter 33

emma pov:
as my plane lands, i begin to leave the airplane and walk towards the exit looking around for hannah
as i'm waiting i check my phone now that i have service
to see a text from ethan
e: hey i hope you have a safe flight, have fun in arizona:)
wow... wonder where he found out that information... probably from gray or james cause he doesn't bother to listen to me... i don't understand what's going on with him.
"HIIIII" someone says as they grab my shoulders, as i jump i turn around quickly to see who it is
"OH MY GOD HANNAH!!!!" we scream and hug
i haven't seen her forever. and i mean forever. last time i saw her was in July, and it's almost christmas...wow.
"i've missed you so much omg" i say still hugging her not wanting to let go
"i've missed you more!" -hannah
" i'm so sorry i haven't kept in touch...it's just hard because" i say as she finishes my sentence
"we barely see each other..." as hannah says that as we both nod and frown 
"BUT WE'RE HERE TOGETHER NOW" -em
"YAYYYY" -hannah
"omg let's go wait for ellie!!" -em
we both smile in excitement and then ellie pulls up to the pick up zone and she quickly parks and runs out to hug us and we squeal as people stare at us but we don't care
"IVE MISSED YOU BOTH SO MUCH OH MY GODDDD" -ellie
"ME TOO IM GONNA CRYYY" -em
"ME TOOO" hannah says as her eyes tear up
"come on let's gooooo!!!! WOOOO" ellie says in excitement
as we drive off i'm sitting in the back as ellie drives with hannah in the passenger seat we play all our jams and then a moment hits me randomly
oh...how i missed ethan...no matter how mad i was at him nothing could not make me want him
as i continue to think to myself and i start to get sad and side tracked, i'm completely lost in my thought staring out the window.
look at what this boy does to me...he's not even here and he still has all my attention...
ethans pov:
"okay e. come on. you been in here for the past day or two we are going out and don't ask where because i'm not even sure yet"
"no gray i'm not going"
"yes you are. get your a** out of bed"
i over dramatically sigh and get out of bed and put on shoes. i go to my closet to pick out a sweatshirt i put it on and it smells like emma. god...how i miss her...it's insane
"LETS GOOOO" gray yells from the living room
"OKAY" -e
i walk out of my room and down the hallway towards the front door then me and gray walk out and get into his car.
"where are we going"
" the beach!" -gray
"no...are you serious"
"yep" -gray
"why."
"because ethan...you've been in your room for forever and all you do is play fortnite or stare off into the ceiling and do nothing. like have you even eaten recently??"
"not really.."
"okay we're getting Chick-fil-A" -gray
"okay"
"do you want to talk about her? or.."
"what's there to talk about?"
"i don't know...she hasn't come over in a while and well you been home a lot more so..."
"so. why does that matter"
"because e you guys went from hanging out everyday and always spending the night at our house or hers to not hanging out at all.....did something happen that your not telling me? did you guys break up??"
"oh my god no. we didn't break up. nothing happened. why do u care so much."
"because your my brother and she's one of my best friends ethan. that's why."
i sigh.... "i've just been busy recently and so has she"
"ok"
grays pov:
he's such a bad liar, even if i didn't know he's still a bad liar. i know that emma has been at her house for like the last week hanging out with olivia or doing her own stuff nothing that important. we talk, after all she is my best friend. so why would he lie to me? and what is he busy with? only thing is that we film a video once a week..
but none of this makes any sense...
emma pov:
"emmmmmaaa?" -ellie and hannah
"em?" -hannah
"sorry what?" i say shaking out of my thoughts
"you okay?" -ellie says as she's driving
"huh? uh" i say then i change my mood so they don't ask anymore questions "yeah totally" i say laughing
"okay..." ellie says as hannah looks at me and i smile back
then we arrive at ellie's place, finally it was almost like a hour drive from the airport
we rush into her house and say hi to her parents and everyone then rush to her room and we start to gossip about random stuff for what seems like forever but it's only been an hour
my girdies change my mood so easily, they make me so happy. you have no idea..
"soooo how are you ethan" hannah says smirking at me
"uhhhh good" i say fake laughing because i don't want to talk about him
"have you talked to him recently?" -ellie
i look at her with a confused face
"because you haven't been on your phone like all day...are you sure everything is oka-"
"yes omg everything is just fine, me and e are great." i say trying to get them to back off and change the subject
i love ethan...but i really just wanted to hang with ellie and hannah and not talk about him. if he wants to take a break and try not to reach out to talk to me or see me and then try's to hangout with me when i told him i was going on a flight to arizona to see my girdies then i leave and now he's suddenly trying to talk to me now that i'm busy? i'm sorry but i'm not going to let ANY guy treat me like that. and besides if he's going through something he should tell me. because i have no idea why he's been so weird recently...like does he even want to be with me still?
