Chapter 9: The Ring

The night where I've found my hope is also the night where I've lost it... I don't know what to do anymore, it seems like everything's against my will...

after eating, I found myself walking along the shore. There are few people around and the moon, as well as the stars are shining so bright. It's a perfect night for those who are truly in love.

Flashback

"You're so beautiful tonight babygirl" I said, deeply looking in her eyes as they reflect.

She blushes and said, "Thank you, I'm happy. Thank you for this night brennan." She smile, oh so sweet. I want to kiss the plump lips of hers but I have to wait.

"You deserved it all. In fact, I wish to see your sweet smile everyday as I am the reason behind it. Epiphany, Would you grant my wish and be my girlfriend?"

I saw her eyes went wide. I smirk and continued "I don't care what everyone thinks, I love you and I want you to be mine. I am a possessive man epiphany and you know that. In spite of money, fame, influence, and a successful career...do you know what's the only thing that I still don't have, babygirl?" I asked.

She is straight up speechless with what's happening. Well, I don't blame her... this is too much to take in.

"It's you baby. I want you mine, only mine. That's why I'll ask you again. I want you to listen and listen well. Would you be my girlfriend? And... my fiancèe, epiphany?"

"B-Brennan... fiancèe?" she's still shocked. I noticed that the tears in her eyes are gradually building up. I chuckle.

"Don't stress yourself babygirl. I love you, I'll understand if you'll reject me...for now."

"I-I...am happy and s-scared brennan. What if-"

"Please do not overthink babygirl. Think it through, but don't overthink. Let's get back, you'll get colds if we longer stay here." I gave her my sweetest smile, I remove my blazer and put it on her.

"Br-brennan..."

"Why babygirl?"

"Y-Yes...I-I'll be your girlfriend. But... I'm not yet prepared to be your fiancèe. I still have things to accomplish and achieve...Bre- " She responded.

Im not dissapointed instead, I'm happy because at least I knew that she's mine, she's my girlfriend.

She narrowed her eyes as I am pulling something out of my pocket.

"My parents expected you to be my fiancèe as of now, but since I don't want to force you. I'll respect your decision but I have a favor, would you wear this as a sign of our love babygirl? I want you to wear it everyday, not just tomorrow."

I pulled out a ring. It supposed to be an engagement ring but I guess we wouldnt call it that anymore. Lets just say that it's a promise ring.

"b-but brennan I...wait, what do you mean they're expecting?"

"Nevermind that baby, I love you and I want you to wear this. Please." I said as I put the ring on her ring finger. I know, it's an a*shole move, forgive me babygirl.

She tries to remove it but I stop her.

"Remove it and I will kiss you." I sternly said.

She frozed, she glance to me hesitantly and continue removing the ring. That's it, She's asking for it.

I kissed her passionately and look at her. Her eyes are closed, her dainty hands are on my chest, pushing me. Oh babygirl Im not gonna let you push me away. I pulled her closer to my chest. I wrap my arms around her secured and put my hands on her waist. That curves, oh babygirl...you don't know what you do to me. Since I pulled her closer, I knew she felt the throbbing member down my pants as she's trying to get out of my embrace. I kissed her deeply and heard the sound that I crave to hear, she's moaning. I smirk.

I took it as a sign that she's also enjoying the heat of the moment. I gradually kissed her down the jawline, neck and collarbones. She's already a moaning mess now which doesnt help to calm Jr. down my pants. In addition to that, her skin. Her soft skin, so adorable and sexy. She's perfect.

"I love you, epiphany. You're only mine babygirl. Promise that to me." I said while gasping for breath. I smirk when I look at her while she's panting then glance towards her 4th finger where I put the promise ring.

End of flashback

The ring... I totally forgot about the ring.
Dammit brennan! You really fcked everything up! 

I didn't notice that I'm in tears until a single drop wet my pants. I got rid of it and stand up. I'm about to leave when...

Smiling so sweetly

with ethan underneath

It boils my blood... at this moment I want to kill Ethan and take yany away! I won't lie... I'm jealous. I hate this feeling! is this how she feels when she caught me that I'm cheating on her? oh epiphany now I understand your hatred. I'm so sorry babygirl, I've been blinded all along.

I watch them as I narrow my eyes. He pulled out something and put it in front of her. I guess it's a jewelry... it sparks it means there's diamonds in it shit! oh no Don't be a ring... please don't be a ring! I feared that It would be a ring!

I watch closely, once he pulled it out it turns out that it's a necklace. whew Thank God

after a minute of giggles, smiles, winks, laughter, hug and.... A FCKING KISS! they leave.

A roller coaster of emotions indeed. I don't know anymore... even though I didn't hear their conversation, I knew that she was his...starting from this very moment. The more I think about it I probably just give up...everyday gets complicated, the more that I get close to her, the more that fate creates distance between us. We're so close yet so far.

The most hurtful thing is that... We've shared memories of this place. This is also the place where we became a couple. I knew that she's not yet move on. I'm sure that she remembers everything we had in this place but when I saw her earlier... It seems like she's genuinely happy and forgotten everything. 

I'm so lost epiphany... babygirl I missed you so much. Please Come back to me.
