♥ The Outside ♥

Today started dreadfully with me having a panic attack before I even got into the building but thanks to a certain boy named Amami, I was able to quickly recover. But I had gotten overwhelmed while speaking with Momota and Ouma, the worst part though was Iruma's comment which she later reluctantly apologized for, even though she obviously didn't mean it.

I looked out the window next to my desk to see the dancing clouds I loved to admire. It was currently the last period of the day which was English. Before I came to Hope's Peak, I had straight A's in every subject except English. My pronunciation was horrible, my writing of the alphabet was to sloppy to actually be read and it seems our teacher Mr. Hinata decided to speak exclusively English.

I was snapped out of my daydream as the bell suddenly let it's presence be known as it rang loudly. The Students rejoiced throwing paper into the air and the teacher wiped his forehead in relief. Most of the students eagerly packed their bags and ran out the door the moment they got the chance to. Ouma and Momota being some of them, I too was eager to leave the building even though my Aunt or Uncle wouldn't be picking me up.

They told me that they'd be busy in the afternoon so I'd have to walk home, they told me to explore while I was at it. Even though I didn't like talking to people, I enjoyed going outside for the most part. As a child I played a lot of sports and was quite active. Nowdays not so much. But the solitude of forest and meadows where all you could here is birds chirping was as close to heaven as I will ever be able to go while I'm still breathing.

"Hey Saihara! What'cha up to after school?" Amami asked holding his bag over his shoulder. "O-Oh... I-I think I m-might explore the town." I spoke, during my first day my stuttering had been reduced significantly. "Aw Man, I'm jealous. I've got a bus to catch. See ya tomorrow Saihara." He laughed waving to be as he left the room. I waved him goodbye as I packed the last of my books into my bag.

It was currently three o'clock on a sunny summer day. I got my bag and headed out the door waving my English teacher goodbye as he smiled at me. Many people were talking outside and I could see a few familiar faces like Maki, Shirogane and Ouma. I walked towards the steps since I was on the second floor and was now heading to the entrance floor so I could exit the school.

"Hey! Saihara! Wait up!" I heard a female voice yelling. I turned around to see Kaede. She ran towards me with a big smile. "Got some free time after school?" She asked. "Ah, y-yeah."
"Man, you're lucky! I gotta go to piano lessons and then I promised Shirogane-san to go get our hair done!" She exclaimed. "O-Oh. Have fun!" I said walking a bit faster to the door waving her goodbye.

I stepped outside and took a deep breath. This year I was gonna try my best to make friends and socialize. That's my goal. I took a quick glance at my surroundings and noticed a map in front of the school which had the layout of the entire town on it. Suspiciously convenient, I must say!

I took a gander at it before deciding where I want to go.
