Jimin froze.

Slowly pulling out his phone, his grip tightened. He refused to look up as his mother swiped through his phone. Jimin could hear his mother grunt in disappointment.

"Jimin." His mothers stern voice yanked him out of his self-loathing. He snapped his head up, still not looking directly in his mother's eyes.

"Yes, mother." He whispered, guilt lacing his voice. He cringed at the sounds coming from his phone. He knew exactly what folder his mom was looking at.

"Where did I go wrong?" his mother's voice cracked. Jimin's world stopped.

"Wha—" He looked at his mother, eyes wide, heart beating out of his chest.

"I made sure you grew up with everything a child could want. Friends, toys, electronics, I spent as much time as possible with you." Ms. Park began to cry, she paid a shit ton of money to get Jimin on the path to greatness, sacrificing everything, and this is what she gets.

Maybe she messed up somewhere, bought him the wrong toy, gave him too much freedom. Maybe she didn't spend enough time with him.

"Mommy..." Jimin tried to swallow the lump in his throat.

'She thought it was her fault. She thought she did something wrong.' Jimin thought feeling tears roll down his face.

"Did I not spend enough time teaching you kindness, should I have homeschooled you?" Ms. Park looked Jimin in the eyes.

"Mommy, it-its not th-that. Y-you have nothing to do with it. You did nothing wrong." Jimin tried to reassure his mom.

Ms. Park pulled back her hand as Jimin went to grab it, as if he was poisonous.

"Apparently I did." His moms answer was short and quick, it felt like a stab to Jimins heart.

"Momm—" Jimin started, believing that maybe he could convince his mom otherwise. To make her understand that she did nothing wrong.

"No. You aren't my son. My son is kind, considerate, I don't know who you are. Im starting to regret sending you off. I should've made you stay here, the idol life is changing you. Maybe, you shouldn't be an idol anymore. I'll talk to pd-nim." Ms. Parks tone was sad, she didn't want to do this, but it seemed like her son had disappeared as time went on.

"You can't do that. I worked so hard for this. Mother please." Jimin begged, he was ready to get on his knees. He loved his job, he loved singing and dancing for fans, he loved being loved.

"I don't care. You aren't the same anymore Jimin, you aren't my Chimmie. If idol life has changed you this much...maybe you don't need it." His mothers voice didn't waver. Her eyes grew sad as she saw the devastation on her sons face, but she stayed neutral, not giving in.

"I'm the same person mom. It hasn't changed me. Mother, please."

"No you aren't. If you don't see it then you definitely don't need this lifestyle distracting you even more. You threatened Kookie with those dreadful pictures for Gods sake."

Jimins mother huffed and glared at her son. "Jimin, you will go back to that dorm, pack your stuff, and be back here by 8 o'clock. This isn't an option, i'm demanding you as your mother. Do i make myself clear?"

Jimin didn't respond.

"Park. Jimin. Am. I. Clear?" she gritted out. Her eyes burning holes into Jimins soul.

"Yes ma'am."
