Beneath The Surface

Hurt someone so deep that it leaves her mouth gaping,
Aching for love,
Searching for kindness
A cool breeze
Or the gentle touch of petal
And she would break
In front of the merciless
Who knew kindness and sympathy would see such a dim end?
Doesn't cost money
Yet so precious
And uncanny.
Red smeared all over her body, streaming down.
Do you see it?
Do you not see it?
But you sit steady
For it must be done
Biting them before they bite you.
Who cares if she didn't even want to?
Who cares if she had chosen the good side?
You proceed with your ever so trusted blade nonetheless
And finally,
The crack
She picked up pieces of her heart she had left here and there
And
Left.
