Just Friends? (ON HOLD)

Chapter 6

-Dani's POV-

Kayla and I have been hanging out with the boys a lot over the past week and have become really close, especially Zayn and Kayla, who are constantly flirting up a storm.

Today is my birthday, yay! Seventeen! The boys have arranged a party for me at their flat. How they figured out when my birthday was is beyond me, Kayla probably.

I finish getting ready for my party and hear a car horn outside my house. I walk out the door to see... a LIMMO?! Ok that's really awesome and all but a limousine really isn't necessary. I try to explain this to them but they just pull me in anyways. Kayla is already in it. I guess they picked her up first.

After eating the delicious Oreo blizzard ice cream cake from Dairy Queen the boys decide its present time.

"Ok," I say, "this is where I draw the line, the limmo ride, the cake and this amazing party is enough. No gifts, please, I can't accept all of this."

"Oh yes you can." Niall insists pressing his gift on me. "You can and you will!"

I sigh and give in. After opening gift after gift I come down to the last one. A tiny little black box with a pink bow and a tag that says 'From Harry'. I look up at Harry who just smiles happily at me.

I untie the tiny pink bow and open the box. I look inside and can't believe my eyes. Sitting in the little box was the cat necklace I saw at the mall. I looked up at Harry once again to find his smile had grown.

"Harry, I- I," I stutter, "I'm speechless..." I close up the box and give him the biggest hug ever. "Thank you."

We break from the hug and he takes the box from me, opens it, takes out the necklace and fastens it around my neck. His emerald eyes sparkle as they stare into mine, but our stare is broken when Louis says:

"That's a lovely necklace you got for your girlfriend there, Harold."

We both blush.

"I'm/she's not his/my girlfriend Lou." we say in unison.

"Sure, sure." Louis says. "Hey, how about some party games?" he shouts, "How about team hide and seek? Hm? Sound good? Good! I'll be 'it', so I get to pick the teams! Niall and Liam, Zayn and Kayla, and Curly and Dani! Everyone ready? Go!"

We really had no time to argue so we all started to look for hiding places. Harry and I finally found a nice spot underneath a bed.

-Louis' POV-

Mission: 'get Harry and Dani together' phase one is in effect. Hopefully if they're alone together in a dark coset or something they'll confess their love for each other.

I begin my search. I find Liam and Niall in the kitchen. Niall was apparently trying, and failing, to hide in the fridge while Liam hid behind the door.

I try the closets next. In the third closet I check I find Zayn and Kayla making out. Definitely saw that one coming. I just shut the door and leave them to their busyness.

I eventually come across a giggling bed. I look under it to find Dani and Mr. Curls smiling up at me. Unfortunately not being very romantic whatsoever. Well, looks like its time for phase two!
