Just Friends? (ON HOLD)

Chapter 5

-Dani's POV-

I wake up in the morning and begin to think everything that happened yesterday was just a dream. This awful though is crushed when I see a note on my night stand that says:

'Have a nice sleep Dani? Had loads of fun last night. You and Kayla want to meet up later with me and the boys at the shopping centre? Hopefully see ya later!

-Harry :)

PS. I slipped my number into your pocket, call or text me for details.'

He must have carried me home last night... or at least to their car and then into my house. He's so sweet. I don't think I could ever tell him how much I love him, he gets that from millions of girls every day, it probably wouldn't mean a thing to him. He'd probably just blow it off like it's just another compliment from some crazed fan.

I push that thought out of my head and get ready to go to the mall. I shower, get dressed, and call up Kayla who's thrilled to 'see Zayn!... and the boys...'

I text Harry for info like: what time to meet, which mall, and such like that.

Arriving at the mall we see a huge crowd of screaming girls.

"Well, the boys are here." Kayla states unenthusiastically.

"Tell me about it." I agree.

The sea of psycho fangirls is slowly pushed out the doors by a group of men.

"Well that's our cue." I say laughing. Hundreds of jealousy filled eyes fall upon us as we trot past the mob of girls and security like bosses.

When we enter we're greeted with the smiling faces of the boys.

"Well lets get going!" Louis says excitedly, "Where to first?"

"The food court!" shouts Niall proudly.

"Niall, we just got hear." I point out.

"Ya but I'm hungry!"

"You always hungry Niall." adds Liam.

"Alright," Harry cuts into the conversation, "let's let the girls decide were to go first." he gestures towards us waiting for an answer.

"Well," Kayla begins, "how about we just window shop for a bit till someone finds something they like?" We all agree and start wandering around the mall.

After skimming the shops for about five minutes we come across a jewelry store were I spot the most beautiful necklace. It has a little silver cat with emerald eyes holding a tiny diamond in its front paws with its tail up forming a heart were it connected to the thin silver chain.

I walk into the jewelry store and the rest follow. I prance over to the counter with the necklace without hesitation. My heart sinks as soon as I see the price. There is no chance on earth I will ever be able to afford this. Devastated, I walk out of the store. Everyone follows except Harry. He hesitates.

-Harry's POV-

I stare down at the small piece of jewelry that made Dani's eyes sparkle. She may not be able to afford it, but I can. But I don't want to get it now, I want to surprise her.

"Liam!" I call out jogging out of the shop, "Liam come hear!" I know Liam can keep a secret. He comes running toward me. I gesture him closer.

"I need your help," I explain in a low voice, "I want to get Dani that necklace for her birthday but I don't know when it is. I really want to surprise her, could you find out when it is for me?"

"Of course mate!" he says happily "No problem." he and I go back and join the rest.

-Liam's POV-

I try to think of how to ask Dani when her birthday is for Harry without making it sound too obvious. After tossing some things around in my head with no success I finally settle on asking Kayla, she's her best friend, she'll definitely know.

-Kayla's POV-

"Kayla, Kayla... KAYLA!" I here my name being called and I notice I've been staring at Zayn for at least the past five minutes. Oh gosh, if he noticed he'll think I'm a major creep!

"Kayla!" I hear my name again. Liam is calling me.

"Oh, um, ya Liam? What is it?"

"I need to know when Dani's birthday is." he says calmly.

"Actually, it's a week from tomorrow."

"Great, thanks!" he says running off towards Harry who then runs off to another part of the mall.

[A/N sorry, the ending of this chapter kinda sucked... maybe I'll fix it later sometime... if my brain descides to be creative again... I've got a little bit of a writer's block at the moment >.< ]
